(Finland) Atea has signed a frame agreement with the University of Helsinki for reselling Microsoft software licenses to Finnish universities and polytechnics. Atea was chosen as a result of a public tendering process. The University of Helsinki was authorized to carry out the tendering process by the other universities - the IT Center for Science Ltd (CSC) and Certia Oy.

The contract will have effect from 1 January 2015. The agreement is valid for three years with an option for one additional year and has an estimated annual value of EUR 4-5 million (NOK 36-45 million). Atea previously had two separate agreements with the universities and polytechnics, which this new agreement replaces.
