New Country Manager in Atea Norway

Michael Jacobs (48) is appointed Country Manager of Atea Norway. He brings extensive industry experience from executive positions within IT infrastructure and system integration in the Nordic region.

Michael joins Atea from Microsoft, where he has worked as Managing Director of Microsoft Norway since 2013.  Prior to this, he has worked for over 10 years as Managing Director of Dell's country operations in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. He has also previously held management positions within Oracle, Telenor and Kodak. 

Michael is a Norwegian national, and holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Information Systems from California Lutheran University in the United States.

Michael will start in his new role in Q1 2016.  He will succeed Steinar Sønsteby, who has temporarily held the Country Manager role in Norway since April, in addition to his responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer of the Atea Group.
