Reading, UK, 1 August 2012 – Austin Fraser is now an Investors in People organisation. Headquartered in Reading, the UK’s fastest growing privately owned recruitment company has a “strong company culture” that impressed Inspiring Business Performance (IBP), the UK management consultancy responsible for delivering Investors in People for the South of England.

Following a rigorous assessment process, IBP reported: “Austin Fraser is a shining example of how a company achieves success when it truly values its people and helps them to develop their full potential.”

IBP’s report commended Austin Fraser for giving its employees clear career paths and opportunities to advance, and for investing in a leadership development manager to give more effective structure and delivery of staff training and development.

It also praised the recruitment company’s “highly competent senior management team” and noted that the company’s values are apparent in the way it treats its people and does business.

David Esau, the Investors in People assessor, remarked on Austin Fraser’s culture of celebrating successful deals: “The office erupted several times while I was there, with everyone banging on their desks, a bell ringing, and music being played.”

Peter Hart, European director at Austin Fraser, said, “It’s useful and invigorating to reflect on what we have achieved together as an organisation, but there is always room for improvement. We are taking on board the suggestions that IBP has made.”

He continued: “One advantage of being accredited as an Investors in People organisation is that it makes us more attractive to job applicants, and that will help us to maintain our fast growth. You do have to be bright to work here, but prior experience in recruitment isn’t a prerequisite. We find that experienced recruitment professionals often need to unlearn what they have learned elsewhere, which means it takes longer for them to think like consultants rather than salespeople.”

Austin Fraser was ranked 12th in The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league table for 2011. The company welcomes applications from people looking to work as recruitment consultants.
