    The Nominating Committee of Axfood proposes the election of Caroline Berg as new Chairman of the Axfood Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting on 19 March 2025. Thomas Ekman has previously announced that he is not available for re-election.- Caroline Berg has extensive experience from both board work and company management.     Patrick Grabenbauer new Managing Director of City Gross

    Axfood’s acquisition of City Gross was completed on 1 November. In conjunction with the change in ownership, a new board of directors has been appointed in the company, which has appointed Patrick Grabenbauer, previously Head of Marketing at Willys, as the new Managing Director of City Gross.– With Axfood as a new owner, we will now work with City Gross and strengthen its market position.     Axfood’s Chairman of the Board Thomas Ekman has today announced that he will decline re-election at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 19 March 2025. He will remain in his role as Chairman until the 2025 AGM.Axfood’s Nominating Committee is tasked with making recommendations with regards to directors and the Chairman of the Board, among other things. The Nominating Committee’s recommendations in full will be announced in conjunction with the notice to the 2025 AGM at the latest.     Growth in all segments and strong market positions

    Axfood summarises a third quarter with a continued positive trend in customer traffic, increased volumes and reinforced market positions, despite high comparison figures.     Due to weak market development for pre-planned subscribed meal kits, Axfood has made the decision to close downs its meal kit company Middagsfrid as of the last day in September, and make use of the value Middagsfrid has created in other ways.     Shoan Etemadi appointed new Managing Director of Hemköpskedjan

    Hemköpskedjan’s current Deputy Managing Director and Head of Sales, Shoan Etemadi, has been recruited to the role as Managing Director of Hemköpskedjan, and will as of 15 August 2024 succeed Simone Margulies in conjunction with her assuming the role as President and CEO of Axfood.From 15 August, Shoan Etemadi will succeed Simone Margulies as Managing Director of Hemköpskedjan AB.
