Brighter previously announced that board member Truls Sjöstedt has decided to step down from his board assignment in connection with a planned reinforcement of the Board. At the Extraordinary General Meeting on Friday, November 20, Christer Trägårdh was elected new Director and Chairman of the Board. Christer will assume his assignment on January 1, 2021. Thereby Truls now leaves his board assignment, in accordance to plan, effective immediately.

“During the course of the year, Brigher’s Board of Directors has been reinforced with a number of highly qualified individuals, and with this additional reinforcement I feel completely confident in handing over the continued board work to Christer and the other Directors. I will continue to be operationally active in the company and I am still convinced that Brighter is facing a bright future. Brighter has reached a very exciting phase after many years of hard work and I look forward to the times ahead,” says Truls Sjöstedt.

At the Extraordinary General Meeting, it was also decided to reduce the number of Board seats from five to four. The vacancy that arises with Truls’ resignation today and until Christer assumes his assignment on January 1, 2021, does not affect the board's work or quorum.
