The growth trend continues to permeate the industry

Cinodes Q4 report shows that the listed consulting companies in Sweden and Finland had an average growth of 25% in Q4, and 15% in 2021. The Swedish IT consulting companies top the list, Much due to the high number of acquisitions. The Swedish market has slightly higher growth figures compared to Finland. Swedish consulting companies report an average growth of 16.7% over the year whilst Finnish companies grew by 8.8 % on average, in 2021. 

Exsitec, Knowit, Prevas and Finnish Gofore were the companies with the highest growth figures in Q4.
 
  - The growth in Q4 has broken records, and we can clearly see that the growth is much thanks to the increase in demand post-pandemic digitalisation. The demand has pushed revenue streams and acquisitions, says Mattias Loxi, co-founder and marketing manager of the Skills Management platform Cinode.
 
Further, we have seen an increase in operating margins amongst half of the listed companies. If we subtract the state subsidies from last year, the figure is significantly higher. 
 
Softronic, Gofore, Prevas and Semcon had the highest marginsin Q4.
 
Although we see an overall growth trend in the industry, many companies still have problems attracting and recruiting talents.  
 
-  On the employee side, two out of three consulting companies have increased their strength, but not at the same rate as the increase in sales. Many companies confirm that it is a great challenge to attract the right skills and at the same time retain their employees. 
The skills gap is a reality and it is becoming increasingly important to also create a network of external skills, says Mattias Loxi.
