Kenneth Bengtsson appointed as chairman of Diaverum

Kenneth Bengtsson has been appointed chairman of Diaverum, one of the world’s largest independent renal care providers, in succession to Alan Bowkett, who will remain a senior adviser to the board. The succession is effective from December 2018.

Kenneth Bengtsson had a career at ICA supermarket group in Sweden, and in 2001 he was named President and CEO of the entire ICA Group. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Systembolaget, The World Childhood Foundation, Ersta Diakoni, Clas Ohlson and Ahlsell AB.

In a comment, the Board said: “Kenneth’s appointment is an important one as Diaverum prepares for the next stages in its development. His broad experience and insight will be very valuable in helping the Diaverum team realise its ambitions for the business”.
