Mastercard to Become Official Payment Partner to the NLC

STOCKHOLM — DreamHack, the premier gaming lifestyle festival, and Mastercard have announced a new partnership for the 2020 Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC). As part of the new partnership, Mastercard will become the official payment partner to the NLC, and will offer “Priceless Play of the Match” rewards for viewers of the NLC.

“Esports continue to grow and thrive, so we couldn’t be happier to welcome Mastercard to the DreamHack family and their ongoing support of this industry,” said DreamHack Co-CEO Roger Lodewick. “We greatly value this partnership and look forward to offering even more content to our fans of the NLC.”

Mastercard recently announced the expansion of its existing global partnership with Riot Games, by exclusively supporting the financial services category for the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS).
