DreamHack and Xbox team up for 2019 edition of DreamHack Winter
Xbox to join as Main Partner for DreamHack Winter 2019
DreamHack is teaming up with Xbox for DreamHack Winter 2019 in Jönköping, Sweden, November 29-December 1, 2019.
DreamHack Winter 2019 will feature a Freeplay zone, where attendees will have access to a library of over 100 high-quality games with Xbox Game Pass on more than 140 Xbox One consoles, allowing guests to check out new games like Gears 5 – one of the biggest blockbuster games of 2019. DreamHack’s BYOC visitors will also be able to check out Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta), a new coming Xbox service. In addition, all Xbox Game Pass members will be able to access to the Xbox Game Pass lounge, including an area in Hall D to relax throughout the weekend in between games and activities.
DreamHack will also celebrate its 25th anniversary during DreamHack Winter. The premier gaming lifestyle festival started as a gathering of friends and their computers in a school cafeteria — with no online access — and has grown into a beacon of internet culture and a gathering place for gamers worldwide featuring everything gaming under one roof.
“The DreamHack event experience is transforming from Bring-Your-Own-Computer to Bring-Your-Own-Device and DreamHack is pleased to announce Xbox will be joining us for DreamHack Winter 2019,” said Marcus Lindmark, co-CEO of DreamHack.
“Xbox Game Pass for PC was built from the ground up with the PC gaming community and we’re excited for PC gamers to be able to check out this new experience with us onsite alongside the console experience,” said Nicholai Hamre, Nordic Xbox Category Manager.
DreamHack Winter 2019 takes place from November 29 through December 1, 2019. An additional day of the LAN/BYOC has been added and will begin one day in advance on November 28, offering DreamHack BYOC ticket holders the longest LAN in DreamHack history. All other parts of the festival, including the Xbox Game Pass activities, open on December 31.
