Balder and Backahill become owners of new Brinova

Fastighets AB Balder has, as a partial payment for the sale of Tornet Landskrona, received 35% of Brinova Fastigheter AB and will together with Backahill AB (45%) become the main shareholder in a new company with focus on community properties and residentials.

The new group will initially have a property portfolio of around 40 properties with a value of over SEK 1 billion. The property portfolio is geographically concentrated in southern Sweden. The goal is to create a larger company with a continued focus on community properties and residentials, which today represents over 75 % of the value.

The largest tenants in the portfolio are the City of Malmö, City of Landskrona, Arbetsförmedlingen, Transportstyrelsen and others on long leases.

The company will expand the number of shareholders and list the company in 2016. The company's CEO is Magnus Blomsterberg and Chairman of the Board is Erik Selin.
