Fastighets AB Balder and Hedin Mobility Group AB invest heavily in Linköping
In a major joint investment in Linköping, the property company Balder is constructing six new full-service facilities for Hedin Mobility Group AB. The first to open will be the new Porsche Center Linköping, which is being inaugurated on 25 February and will be the Nordic countries’ first full-service facility according to the new Destination Porsche concept. In 2022, a further two dealerships will be inaugurated and construction will start of three more.
On a gross floor area of approximately 15,000 square metres in the Mörtlösa district, along the E4 motorway at the northern entrance to Linköping, Hedin Mobility Group will establish a total of six new full-service facilities. The property owner and developer is Balder, which through the completion of the full-service facilities in Mörtlösa will lease about 50 properties to Hedin Mobility Group AB throughout the country.
“We are very happy about our close collaboration with Balder and the confidence they have placed in Hedin Mobility Group as their tenant. The location along the E4 that we have chosen for the six full-service facilities is completely optimal for car sales and service. It is also a great honour that the first facility is the first Destination Porsche dealership in the Nordic countries,” says Anders Hedin, owner and CEO, Hedin Mobility Group AB.
“Hedin Bil and Balder have a long and good history together which is now being strengthened even further through our joint investment in Linköping. The location of the new facilities has a very good signage placement position towards the E4 and a group such as Hedin Bil naturally wants to present its vehicles and services in modern, accessible and smart premises. We are also very happy and pleased about the excellent collaboration with the municipality which has enabled this investment,” says Martin Berg, Regional Manager Commercial Properties at Balder.
The first dealership to open as part of the investment is the new Porsche Center Linköping which will open its doors on 25 February. The full-service facility has total floor space of approximately 3,500 square metres and is equipped with a solar cell system for power supply of both the property and the needs of the electric car chargers.
Jaguar/Land Rovers’ new premises will be inaugurated in May on the site next to the Porsche Center and later this year another facility will be completed. Construction start of the last three full-service facilities is planned for spring 2022 with inauguration in summer 2023.
