Fazer awarded as one of the most reputable companies in Finland for the tenth time in a row

Fazer is an international Food Experience Company — a billion-dollar business with thousands of employees. On 16 November 2022, Fazer was awarded a significant recognition for its meritorious and long-term work as it received a Reputation & Trust badge of honour issued by T-Media. Reputation & Trust is a consumer survey, which has been conducted annually since 2013, monitoring the reputation of companies. Fazer’s work was recognised as Fazer has been awarded as one of the most reputable companies in Finland for all the years that the survey has been conducted.

Fazer the most reputable company within the food industry for several years

Finnish consumers have already for ten years recognised Fazer as one of the most reputable companies in Finland. At Fazer, one of the reasons for the continued success is estimated to be the company’s long-term investments into domestic production and employment.

The whole food system is currently undergoing a fundamental change. The global climate crisis, increasing pace of food innovations and the rise of new technologies as well as fast evolving consumer trends are changing the way food is produced, distributed, consumed and perceived. At the same time, consumers are becoming more and more aware of the impact food has on their well-being and on the planet. On top of this profound change, Fazer, as most other actors within the food industry, has for the last few years been faced with the rapid and unpredictable changes of the operating environment. Consumer expectations have increased and required companies to act in an even more agile manner than before. Fazer has always taken pride in being a responsible member of the society and this long-term commitment is also reflected in the trust consumers place in Fazer. This trust can be seen in the Reputation & Trust survey, in which Fazer has been awarded as one of the five most reputable companies in Finland for already ten years in a row.

Fazer focuses on fast-moving consumer goods and is one of the most esteemed brands in Finland. Fazer operates in the bakery, confectionery, non-dairy and plant-based food markets and uses domestic raw materials whenever possible. The domesticity of Fazer’s production is as high as approximately 95%.

In 2022, T-Media conducted already for the tenth time a survey to explore the reputation of companies operating in Finland. The score is formed by the average of eight different dimensions – products and services, responsibility, governance, financial performance, leadership, innovations, dialogue and workplace. According to T-Media, the importance of responsibility is increasing.
