Fazer Cafés invite you to enjoy delicacies while Christmas shopping
A visit to a Fazer Café is always an experience, and as the holiday season approaches, there are even more delicious reasons to stop in. Handmade saffron knots, fragrant gingerbread lattes, Christmas pastries and Santa-red glögg cheesecake will keep you warm and satisfy your tastebuds. For vegans and other cake-lovers, we have baked a new hazelnut blackcurrant cake. Independence Day is celebrated with an Independence Day pastry, and the selection at our Kluuvikatu café also includes a Lucia pastry to brighten up the dark December days. If you are enthusiastic about novelties, pick up a Karl Fazer Pretzel chocolate tablet, a 2024 novelty, at a Fazer Café or a Gateau bakery shop, where the tablets are on presale. The Fazer Café and Gateau online shops serve friends of sweet and savoury delicacies 24/7.
Fazer Cafés’ newest cake and sweetest Christmas gifts
Our novelty vegan hazelnut blackcurrant cake has hazelnut praline, fresh blackcurrant mousse and creamy hazelnut chocolate mousse on top of an almond flour base. Glögg cheesecake, which is a familiar favourite of the Christmas season, has a crispy biscuit base topped with rich cream cheese mousse and a red glögg glaze.
We will be celebrating Independence Day by baking a delicious Independence Day pastry. The almond base of the pastry is covered with soft cream cheese mousse flavoured with lime and festive blue and white decorations. The Independence Day pastry is sold from 4th to 6th December 2023.
Finns love buns. During the Christmas season, Fazer’s artisan bakery will mould its buns into skilful, succulent saffron knots. Handmade gingerbreads and warm glögg are an unbeatable pair, and lovers of specialty coffees will be delighted by the gently spicy gingerbread latte.
The most wanted Christmas gifts are various kinds of chocolates. That’s why we have collected Fazer’s classic boxes of chocolate and sweets, the Karl Fazer Collection pralines and Karl Fazer handmade pralines on a shelf in our cafés, so it’s easy for you to pick up your personal favourites and the Christmas treats your loved ones adore.
You can also surprise a friend with a Karl Fazer Pretzel chocolate tablet that is available for presale. The salty and sweet novelty will be sold in all Fazer Cafés, Gateau shops and the Fazer Experience Visitor Centre shop as of 1 December 2023. Another presale product, the Kismet Pätkis chocolate countline, will be available in our cafés.
Charitable Lucia pastry fills you with Christmas spirit
Fazer Café Kluuvikatu will once again sell charitable Lucia pastries from 14 November to 23 December. The delicious, gluten-free pastry consists of a cheesecake mousse, lingonberry and caramel on an almond-lingonberry base. For each pastry sold, we will donate one euro to Folkhälsan’s Lucia fundraiser, which supports preventive work in families with children who have difficulties in their daily lives.
Lucia and her procession will visit the café on Sunday 17 December and perform at 1:30 and 4 p.m.
Fazer Café Kluuvikatu 3 is foodies’ favourite Christmas shop
A box of chocolates can also be a design product. Designer Anu Polvitie’s delicate and feather-light design will charm you in a 160-gram Karl Fazer Collection chocolate box. There are 250 design boxes made by the winner of a design competition. The Kluuvikatu café also has its very own Christmas calendar for sale. The calendar includes, for example, wrapped Fazermint, Geisha and Karl Fazer milk chocolate classic pralines. The selection also includes handmade Karl Fazer pralines.
Fazer’s wrapped Christmas truffle that had been available for decades was replaced with a masterpiece of our confectioners; a mouth-watering, full-bodied velvety Christmas truffle. The Christmas truffles are handmade at the Kluuvikatu confectionery and available in boxes of 15, 20 and 42 pieces and in bulk only at Fazer Café Kluuvikatu. Truffles are available until 23 December.
Fazer Café Kluuvikatu’s special selection also includes marzipan pigs, handmade caramel, candied cranberries, chocolate angels and baubles as well as Fazer chocolate buttons in 250-gram packages. Just add certified Fazer Café Blend coffees and Kluuvikatu’s own coffee mug and apron, and you have all the ingredients of a magnificent gift basket. Gingerbread houses are made to order.
The Christmas window at the legendary Fazer Café Kluuvikatu 3 opened to delight customers and passers-by in early November. The theme of this year’s window is Santa’s workshop.
