Fazer Dumle Oat Drink combines the chocolate and toffee flavours of the well-loved Dumle Toffee Caramel with the softness of oats. The rich, dairy-free delicacy drink is made with Nordic oats. The novelty will arrive in stores in August 2021.

Fazer Dumle Oat Drink is made of Nordic wholegrain oats and is also suitable for a vegan diet. The new vitaminised drink can be enjoyed as it is, either cold or hot, like cocoa. The product is also great as a base for various desserts, and it tastes especially delicious when you spoon a little whipped Fazer Aito Oat for Whipping on top.

Fazer Dumle Oat Drink is sold in a generous 1-litre package that can be stored unopened at room temperature.

– The consumption of plant-based drinks is constantly increasing. We want to offer tasty options for both old friends of plant-based drinks and those, who haven’t tried plant-based drinks before. And what could be a more delicious taste than the classic Dumle! The iconic combination of chocolate and toffee is traditionally milk-based but the classic Dumle taste is also perfect for a vegan product, says Brand and Category Director Susanna Kallio from Fazer.

A well-loved flavour around the world

The beloved Dumle has its roots in Sweden, where the Mazetti company made the first flat lollipop in 1945. It was given the name Dumle in 1960. Fazer acquired Mazetti in 1975 and Dumle became a Fazer brand. In the 1980s, Fazer introduced the now famous Dumle Toffee Caramel. Dumle is known for its unique and very recognisable taste, a combination of chewy toffee covered with delicious milk chocolate, and it is an iconic product both in the Nordic countries and around the world. Dumle is sold in more than 30 countries worldwide.

– Dumle’s popularity is not limited to the Nordic region. It’s loved around the world. Chocolate and cocoa-flavoured plant-based drinks are in high demand in Europe, and we believe that Fazer Dumle Oat Drink stands out from the rest with its unique chocolate and toffee flavour, Kallio says.

Dumle shake

  • 2 dl Fazer Dumle Oat Drink
  • 2 tbsp oat bran or oatmeal
  • 2 tbsp cashew nuts or other nuts or seeds
  • 3 dl dairy-free vanilla ice cream (if you want to make a smoothie, replace the ice cream with two frozen bananas)
  • 2–4 ice cubes
  • about 20 g Fazer Pure Dark dark chocolate
  • decoration: Fazer Aito Oat for Whipping, melted chocolate and strawberries

Instructions

Place two serving glasses in the fridge. In a blender, mix the Fazer Dumle Oat Drink, the bran or oatmeal, the nuts or seeds, the frozen bananas or ice cream and ice cubes. Blend to a smooth consistency, which takes about a minute or two.

Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie or a microwave (for about 20 seconds at a time) until it has melted.

Take the serving glasses from the fridge and decorate the rim and inner surface of the glass with melted chocolate. This is best done with a small spoon. The chocolate solidifies on the cold glass surface.

Pour the smoothie or shake into the glasses, spoon the Fazer Aito Oat for Whipping on top and garnish with strawberries.
