Fazer Experience Visitor Centre has been awarded the TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice 2020 diploma. Previously, the centre has been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for already three years in a row. Regardless of the pandemia Fazer Experience has continued to be a popular place to visit.

For many years, TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice and Certificate of Excellence programs have honoured selected destinations, airlines, accommodations, attractions, experiences and restaurants around the world. Travellers’ Choice diploma is granted to only 10% of TripAdvisor attractions worldwide. The winners are calculated based on the millions of reviews and opinions collected in a single year from travellers around the world on TripAdvisor. The award is the result of consistently great reviews from the guests. There is no application process for Travellers’ Choice. The achievement is earned over time. This year, in particular, TripAdvisor has stated that it wants its Awards program to aid the hardly hit travel industry in recovering from the consequences of COVID-19.

Fazer Experience Visitor Centre is a unique place to visit in Finland

The Fazer Experience Visitor Centre had over 230,000 visitors in 2019. 2020 has been a challenging year for the Centre, as for other travellers’ attractions, but primarily domestic guests have continued visiting Fazer and especially holiday seasons have been fully booked.  Special measures have been taken to promote the health and safety of both the visitors and the personnel. “We are extremely honoured to receive TripAdvisor´s Travellers’ Choice diploma 2020. It acknowledges our consistent work to create a unique experience for our visitors and further encourages us to aim at making magic happen every day”, says Anu Kokko, Director of Fazer Experience Visitor Centre.

The centre is open seven days a week and comprises an exhibition, a Fazer Café, a store, meeting services and different events. A new greenhouse was opened in Fazer Experience’s garden in June 2020. This new greenhouse, a city plot with domestic primary grains and a tropical inner garden with exotic plants and cocoa trees offer a glimpse of nature and an opportunity to see how the raw materials that Fazer uses look like as plants. Other attractions introduced this year include an application-based garden quiz, a selfie spot in the lobby and a web shop on www.visitfazer.com/tilaatuotteita for ordering delicious treats and the latest novelties.

Fazer has welcomed visitors for over 60 years. Since the new Visitor Centre opened in autumn 2016, its popularity has even increased. A school visit to Fazer is a classic that the pupils will remember for years and today, approximately 45% of the tours are for school classes or students. The destination also attracts foreign travellers, companies, associations and individual visitors, be it for meetings, recreation or just a nice time together. Many of the guests indicate that the visit is inspired by recommendations or other visitors’ feedback.
