Fazer Experience Visitor Centre reopens 1 June - a new greenhouse to be opened by the end of June
Fazer Experience Visitor Centre reopens its doors 1 June, introducing new attractions both outdoors and indoors. In the beginning of June, a garden quiz game and a selfie-spot in the lobby will be introduced, and by the end of the month, a new greenroom will be opened in the Fazer Experience garden. The exhibition and café have been closed due to the corona situation. Upon reopening, special measures have been taken to promote the health and safety of our visitors.
In the end of June, a new greenhouse, located in the Fazer Experience garden, will be taken in use, offering visitors an opportunity to follow how tomatoes and other typical greenhouse plants grow.
“People today show a growing interest towards plant-based food and especially this unprecedented Spring has inspired people to create own plantations in city plots, balconies and windows. One of Fazer’s sustainability core goals is to increase the share of plant-based products in our offering. At the same time, we wish to promote local products and local food production – our own locally grown tomatoes being just one small example. We will arrange different courses and trainings to inspire everybody to plant something themselves.” says Ulrika Romantschuk, EVP, Communications & Branding, Fazer Group.
A city plot with domestic primary grains and a tropical inner garden with exotic plants and cocoa trees have been parts of Fazer Experience Visitor Centre since the opening in 2016. These offer a glimpse of nature and an opportunity to see how the raw materials that Fazer uses look like as plants.
New attractions: garden quiz and selfie-spot
In addition to the greenhouse a garden quiz game will be introduced in the beginning of June. All visitors, families and school classes are encouraged to reserve an extra 20 minutes before or after their visit for a garden quiz game which is based on a smartphone application and offers tasks and questions about the nature.
The third novelty of the summer is a selfie-spot in the lobby. All the visitors can take a digital picture of themselves in front of a nice picture wall and send it to their e-mail address for sharing with friends in social media.
All the new attractions are free of charge.
