Fazer’s Annual and Financial Reviews have been published today. Building on Fazer’s mission Food with a purpose, the Annual Review describes the progress made in the implementation of Fazer’s strategy and discusses our business and sustainability performance during the year. Fazer is an innovative, modern, and future-oriented Food Experience Company aiming at accelerating growth by developing sustainable products and cultivating innovation based on in-depth consumer insight.

Fazer has a clear future strategy and a strong mission, Food with a purpose, robust sustainability ambitions and an inspiring vision, Towards Perfect Days. In the Annual Review 2021 our high ambitions are discussed and reflected through the Fearlessly Forward concept, positioning Fazer as a bold and innovative Food Experience Company. We share our own as well as our stakeholders´ visions about the future of food and showcase examples of Fazer´s innovations and sustainable development across the value chain. We demonstrate how Fazer creates value for its stakeholders and incorporate an outside-in perspective to examine how trends and phenomena in our operating environment and consumer expectations impact our business in the long run.

The whole food system is currently undergoing a fundamental change. The global climate crisis, increasing pace of food innovations and the rise of new technologies as well as fast evolving consumer trends are changing the way food is produced, distributed, and consumed. This has a significant impact on the environment, on society and on our well-being. In addition to the awarded circular economy innovation, Fazer xylitol factory, we progressed in sustainability on several fronts during the year. Key highlights include the approval of our Science Based Targets (SBTi) and our updated Sustainability Ambitions. Not only is sustainability integral to Fazer´s strategy but its importance is also reflected in our annual reporting and the emphasis has significantly grown compared to previous years.

The Annual Review, published in three languages, includes the business and sustainability reviews. The financial review, in Finnish and English, includes the Corporate Governance statement, the Board of Directors report and the Financial Statements for 2021.
