The annual MICHELIN Guide Ceremony awarding the Nordic restaurants is held in Helsinki May 27th. Like last year, Fazer is one of the Ceremony’s local partners. Fazer, the food experience company, will collaborate with the City of Helsinki and be widely present at both the cocktail dinner as well as other stakeholder events held in connection with the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony.

“The MICHELIN Guide is a highly respected player in the food industry. By cooperating with the MICHELIN Guide in the frame of its Nordic Countries Ceremony, we are very happy to be able to offer high-quality Nordic food to the top professionals attending the event. There will be a lot of international media in Finland, and it is a perfect opportunity to get global visibility to Finnish food”, says Anniina Niemistö, VP, Communications & Sustainability at Fazer Lifestyle Foods.

Fazer presents the utilisation of plant-based products in top-level dishes

Fazer’s plant-based products will be visible in the dishes prepared by top-level chefs in the cocktail dinner of the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony. In addition to that, Fazer’s Chef de Cuisine Tapio Bergström and Chef de Patisserie Piia Raunio will prepare plant-based tasting dishes to the event guests.

“The MICHELIN Guide Ceremony is a very impressive event where you can really sense the gastronomic passion and the attention to detail. The dishes served are unbelievable, and every detail is carefully considered. It's great to be able to participate this year as well. However, I won't reveal what we offer yet!” says Fazer’s Chef de Cuisine Tapio Bergström.

The 133-year-old Fazer is known for its high-quality products and food innovations, and it is one of the biggest oat producers in the Nordic countries. The world-class oat know-how is utilised in all Fazer businesses which already offer more than 200 oat products.

“Already 45% of Fazer’s products are plant-based. We want to develop products that have both excellent taste and quality, and we want to continue to grow our plant-based portfolio. We support a healthy and sustainable lifestyle and create food experiences which suit that lifestyle”, Niemistö continues.

The MICHELIN Stars are the most coveted and prized honours of the restaurant industry. The annual MICHELIN Guide Ceremonies are the world’s most famous culinary events, and they gather both chefs running MICHELIN Starred restaurants as well as other professionals in the food and restaurant industry. Fazer was one of the event’s local partners also last year, when the Nordic MICHELIN Stars were awarded in Turku.
