Fazer prepares for the coronavirus epidemic

Fazer takes extensive measures in this exceptional situation caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). We are monitoring the situation constantly and are prepared to make any necessary adjustments to our operations and to inform our customers and employees accordingly.

Fazer Group has appointed a task force to manage the preparations for the coronavirus and to issue daily instructions. We have prepared for the coronavirus in all our business operations.

We will inform our customers of any impacts of the coronavirus on our business. All Fazer business units have business-specific contingency plans for the coronavirus epidemic. 

We are closely monitoring any instructions issued by authorities in all countries where Fazer operates. Our employees are given up-to-date information on any changes to our operating methods through their superiors, the intranet and virtual briefings.

Our production continues as usual

Our production units are working normally. If the situation changes, we will provide information about it. We constantly update our plan to ensure the continuity of our operations and the availability of our products in these exceptional circumstances.

Fazer is focusing on preventive measures. Business trips are cancelled. We have encouraged those of our employees who are able to telework, to work from home. We have also limited our internal meetings and meetings with external stakeholders. In line with the instructions of the authorities we have also encouraged our employees to avoid all leisure travel and provided instructions for returning to work after travelling and any exposure to the coronavirus. All visits to our production facilities are forbidden. Our employees have also been advised to pay particular attention to hand hygiene.

Fazer offers online customer service

Fazer's customer service (consumers) responds to customer feedback via various channels. In this situation, we encourage our customers to use our online service at www.fazer.fi/asiakaspalvelu. If our customer service becomes congested or processing times too long, we will inform you about this on the website. We are not processing letters at the moment, and we encourage our customers to contact our customer service before posting any samples.
