Fazer is the third most ideal employer of 2012 among business students. This was revealed in a student survey conducted by Universum which involved over 6,700 university and technical college students in Finland. Fazer ranked high also in an employer image survey conducted by T-Media.

Finland’s ideal employers are those who offer youth interesting and challenging tasks while maintaining a balance between work and leisure time. Many employers invest in flexibility, which can be seen in the ideal employers’ ranking list.

In addition to balance between work and leisure, young people value challenges. Continuous learning and competitive and intellectual challenges are among things that are experienced as challenging work.

‘We are proud of this achievement. I believe that Fazer’s strong values, responsible operations and valued brands create an entity which increasingly appeals to modern students. Rising into third place is an indication of the fact that we are going in the right direction. We want to continuously improve our ways to work in a way which meets the changing needs of working life,’ says Mika Videman, HR Director of Fazer Group.

Fazer became third in 2012’s student survey among business students. Last year, Fazer ranked 9th. Among technology students, Fazer has reached the top 20 list, ranking now 20th instead of 22nd.

Over 6,700 university and technical college students in the fields of business, engineering, law and IT responded to Universum’s student survey. In the survey, over 22,000 assessments of employees were collected.

In addition, Fazer did well in T-Media’s employer image survey 2011 which a total of 24,642 Finns responded to during February and March. In the survey, they assessed Fazer as Finland’s second most popular employer.
