Fazer’s Easter range features classics and novelties – the sweet and colourful treats celebrate the spring
The spring is a time for celebrations, with Easter being one of the first festivities of the season. The increased light and warmth and an unspoken promise of spring and hope are essential parts of Easter festivities – as is spending time with loved ones and eating well. This Easter, Fazer’s selection includes familiar favourites and new products great for Easter dinners or taking to spring picnics, bicycle rides or the cottage. Treat yourself to a traditional Mignon egg, make a dairy-free fruit parfait for dessert or bring the colourful Pullava sweet loaf to a picnic.
The spring holiday season starts with Easter, followed by May Day, Mother’s Day and graduation celebrations. The spring and summer celebrations are an opportunity for spending time with friends and family and enjoying treats without stress. Here are Fazer’s best tips for celebrations, everyday life, and making everyday life more festive!
Something new, something old
Fazer’s Mignon eggs have been an Easter classic since 1896. The gluten- and dairy-free Mignon egg, made from almond-hazelnut nougat, is part of the Finnish Easter celebrations year after year. Enjoying marmalades during Easter time is also a long-standing tradition. Marmalades have been a part of Fazer’s range since the late 1800s. The vegan Vihreät Kuulat marmalades and the colourful Finlandia marmalades can be enjoyed as they are or used for decorating Easter desserts.
The colourful Tutti Frutti sweets are also great for creating cheerful decorations or satisfying your sweet tooth. The new Tutti Frutti chocolate eggs are a melt-in-the-mouth combination of a fruity Tutti Frutti filling and delicious milk chocolate. The Tutti Frutti Beans, Tutti Frutti Choco & Beans and the soft Vihreät Kuulat fruit sweets complement the colourful Easter table setting.
Easter is also a chocolate season. Available throughout the spring, Karl Fazer’s praline with a lemon yoghurt and meringue filling is the perfect Easter treat to enjoy with a cup of coffee. The praline’s refreshing filling complements the soft taste of Finland’s best-loved chocolate.
Treats to finish off a great meal
Lovely desserts and coffee-time treats are a perfect way to end your Easter dinner. Creating festive desserts such as the dairy-free fruit parfait is easy with the plant-based Fazer Aito products. Fazer’s assortment also includes sweet pastries ready to enjoy, such as the low-lactose Oululainen Pullava Appelsiinirahkapitko orange and quark sweet loaf and the Fazer Auringonpaiste cake roll, a combination of refreshing mango and white chocolate that melts in the mouth. With May Day approaching, don’t forget the traditional May Day treats such as the Fazer Tippaleipä funnel cakes, available as early as mid-March. Why settle just for May Day when you can enjoy funnel cakes for much longer?
Delicious handmade Easter treats from Fazer Leipurit
Fazer’s shop-in-shop bakeries offer wonderful Easter delicacies baked on the spot. The Fazer Leipurit sweet loaf with a quark filling is baked at the shop-in-shop bakery from start to finish, using Finnish flour and real butter. The lactose-free soft loaf has a generous topping of self-made quark filling. Those who love Danish pastries will be spoiled this Easter with three melt-in-the-mouth Danish pastries with rich and authentic flavours: a flaky Danish with quark filling, a Danish with quark and raisins, and a Danish with lemon and quark.
Feel and taste the spring at Fazer Café
After the Shrovetide bun season, Fazer Cafés are also shifting their attention to spring. You can pick up lovely delicacies from Fazer Cafés to complete your Easter dinner, but Easter is also an excellent time for enjoying treats at the café. The impressive lemon-meringue cake is a 2023 spring novelty. The flour-free and lactose-free cake is suitable for a variety of diets. This trendy delicacy is available throughout the spring and summer, while the Easter-themed passion fruit mousse cake with its delicate yellow colour is available from 4 April to 8 April 2023. The cafes’ flaky Danish pastry with a raspberry and bilberry filling, as well as the soft and succulent apricot bun, are also perfect treats for anyone with a sweet tooth. Fazer Cafés also offer vegan treats and sustainably produced Rainforest Alliance certified coffee.
You can also get into the Easter spirit by visiting Fazer’s Visitor Centre in Vaarala, Vantaa. In addition to enjoying café products, you can marvel at the number of eggshells used in the impressive Mignon bunny or participate in a Mignon egg decorating workshop.
