To respond to the growing consumer trend of colourful smoothie bowls, a way of eating well and enjoying a healthy snack, Froosh is now introducing ready to eat smoothie bowls- a new product type on the Nordic market. The products are made of 100% fruit and vegetables topped with granola and come in three different flavours: Pear, kiwi & avocado, Peach, passion fruit & vanilla and Strawberry, banana & grape- all free from additives and without added sugar.

  • Smoothie bowls are a growing international food trend in social media and lifestyle media as people look for a healthy but still tasty snack to get them going throughout the day. We have developed a line of products that respond to these needs for people on the go. A large part of the on-the-go snacking and breakfast products are either dairy based or contain sugar and additives. We are therefore pleased to be able to offer a plant-based, filling, nutritious and truly tasty snack made of high-quality fruit, topped with a crunchy granola consisting of oats, seeds and dried fruits, says Johanna Strand, Brand Manager at Froosh.

Froosh wants to make it easier for people to eat more fruit and greens by offering healthy, fruit and vegetable- based snacks and drinks and sustainable packaging solutions.

  •  When developing the smoothie bowls, our priorities were besides health and taste based on food waste, recycling, quality, convenience, and environmental aspects. Launching Froosh smoothie bowl in steel packaging supports our approach to tackle such issues. We recognise the impact and concern of the plastic material that we currently need to use for the lid and spoon and our ambition is to find more sustainable alternatives in the future Inga Jasiuvian, Head of Product Development, Fazer Lifestyle Foods.

Three new smoothie bowls topped with granola
The smoothie bowls consists of 100% fruit accompanied by crispy granola on the side, made on oats, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, roasted coconut chips and dried raspberries. The content weight is 168 grams, where the granola topping makes up for 18 grams. The new Froosh line consists of three different flavours:

• Pear, kiwi and avocado

• Peach, passion fruit and vanilla

• Strawberry, banana and grape

The products are as suitable for breakfast on the go as a filling snack or guilt free treat. In a recent tasting test 75 % liked the taste of the products and 64% found the products better than other snacking alternatives on the market (Ipsos taste test, ID: 18037106, 2018)
