Home cooks' wishes reflected in the renewal of Fazer Aito cooking products

Fazer Aito has become well-known among Finns who appreciate plant-based alternatives. The recipes for the cooking products have been updated to better meet the needs of home cooks who value good taste and convenience. All Fazer Aito cooking products will continue to be gluten-free.

The range of Fazer Aito cooking products includes five items: Fazer Aito Oat for Cooking – unflavoured, Pepper, Tomato & Basil, and Cheese-flavoured – as well as Fazer Aito Plant-based Whipping.

A perfect companion for versatile cooking

The Fazer Aito Oat for Cooking products, plant-based alternatives which can be used like cooking creams, now have an updated recipe and differ from the previous ones in terms of texture and fat content. The packaging clearly communicates the recipe change with the text ribbon "New Recipe."

"When implementing the recipe update, we listened to consumers' wishes. Based on the feedback we received, we have made the Oat for Cooking products slightly more fluid, and the reduction in fat content is also a desired update. The products will continue to be gluten-free, and the unflavoured variant has the Heart Symbol," says Janne Illman, Marketing Director of Fazer's Plant-based drinks Business Unit.

"Fazer’s gourmet team was involved in the development of our recipes. Our professionals particularly appreciate the taste of the products, which is neutral and suitable for many dishes. Oat for Cooking behaves like cream and can be added to acidic products without fear of curdling and can be boiled down. The product gives dishes a creamy mouthfeel and appearance," Illman continues.

Fazer Aito Plant-based Whipping crowns baked goods and desserts

Fazer Aito Plant-based Whipping, suitable for sweet baking and desserts, also has a new recipe. The amount of sugar is reduced from 7.2 grams to 2.7 grams, and the sweetness level is easy to adjust by adding sugar yourself. The fat content is slightly reduced: instead of the previous 28 grams, it now contains 26 grams of fat. The taste of Fazer Aito Plant-based Whipping is milder and more neutral than before.

"The renewed Fazer Aito Plant-based Whipping whips into foam quickly. The foam is thick, rich, and durable, and it is suitable for many uses. The foam can be prepared well in advance, as it stays good overnight," Illman says.
