Mattias Wivesson appointed Chief Procurement Officer for Fazer Group
Fazer Group’s Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) Petteri Nisonen has decided to leave Fazer. Mattias Wivesson, M.Sc. (Econ), (b. 1975) has been appointed as the company’s new CPO and member of the extended Fazer Leadership Team. He will assume his position on September 1, 2024.
Mattias Wivesson has worked at Orkla since 2005 and has served as Senior Vice President at Orkla Group Procurement since 2022. Prior to this position, he served as Vice President for Orkla Group Procurement and has in addition also held several other significant procurement positions in the company during his career.
“During these past very turbulent years, reflected by availability issues, high inflation and low visibility, the CPO role has become more crucial than ever. Mattias is an experienced procurement leader, and I am very pleased to warmly welcome him to Fazer,” says Christoph Vitzthum, President and CEO. “I also want to thank Petteri for his strong contribution to Fazer’s success and wish him all the best for the future”, Christoph Vitzthum continues.
"I am thrilled to embark on this journey in a company with a fantastic history of developing iconic brands. I look forward to collaborating with the dedicated Fazer team to further strengthen procurement, ensuring that we continue to deliver excellent products in a very exciting future,” says Mattias Wivesson.
