We have compiled here our favourite products and recipes for a tasty May Day. Spend May Day with your friends and family –  it’s all about sharing and enjoying a food experience together.

The most delicious May Day doughnuts and the legendary Tippaleipä funnel cake

You can find Fazer’s scrumptious Tippaleipä funnel cakes from your local shop’s pastry section and doughnuts from the shop’s bake-off units and frozen aisles. All Fazer funnel cakes and doughnuts are made in Finland using Finnish flour.

Fazer Tippaleipä funnel cakes 2 pieces 90 g

This beloved Fazer favourite is now available as crispy as ever but in a smaller packaging (90 g / 2 cakes per box). Fazer Tippaleipä funnel cakes are meant to be enjoyed alone or shared with friends and family. The Fazer way of eating them involves lightly pressing the top of the Tippaleipä to crush it, so that all of the sweet tooths present can nibble on the Tippaleipä crumbs. Available for a limited period of time, from 1 to 30 April 2022.

This classic Fazer Doughnut is now also available in a smaller size. This lovely soft sugared doughnut has a generous, delicious raspberry jam filling.

The Fazer Berliner doughnut is a pastry beloved by many. Its pink sugar icing hides a scrumptiously soft doughnut with a delicious raspberry jam heart. The colourful Fazer Berliner doughnut will charm your guests and add an impressive touch to your coffee time.

What a cracking flavour combination: a uniquely soft doughnut paired with the classic Omar brand that charms with its soft cream fudge flavour in both the frosting and the filling.

Vuohelan Gluteeniton Munkki gluten-free doughnut 4 pieces 200 g

Vuohelan freshly-baked gluten-free doughnut is available once more for the May Day season from 1 to 30 April 2022. Vuohelan gluten-free doughnuts are baked in Fazer’s gluten-free bakery in Lahti. The doughnut is gluten-free, lactose-free, and dairy-free, and does not contain soy.

Traditional May Day doughnuts from Gateau artisan bakeries and Fazer Cafés

May Day doughnuts from the artisan bakery in Sörnäinen are available in all Gateau bakery shops and Fazer Cafés from 19 April to 1 May.

May Day picnic’s easiest snack is a packet of biscuits Dominos are made of Finnish grain and, in the future, without palm oil

Domino has remained Finland’s best-loved biscuit ever since its launch in 1953. In future, Domino biscuits will be baked without palm oil. This spring’s new flavours in the Domino family include Marianne Toffee and Domino Salty Caramel. Both are suitable for vegans.

Froosh smoothies add colour and flavour to your May Day picnic

Froosh’s colourful and tasty smoothies are a delicious addition to your May Day picnic. The smoothies contain no added sugar, preservatives or additives, and they  only contain natural sugars from ingredients. Traditional smoothies include consumers’ favourite flavours, such as mango, orange, and strawberry, and they only contain berries, fruit, and vegetables, nothing more. Functional smoothies Feel Good, Clean Green, and Up Beat contain other beneficial ingredients, such as vinegar, aloe vera, and spirulina.

Smoothies are a convenient picnic snack as they are packed in handy cardboard packages of 150 ml and glass bottles of 250 ml. Larger glass bottles of 750 ml are perfect for a May Day picnic at home.

Fazer Dumle Oat Drink tastes of chocolate and toffee like the classic sweet

The most delicious May Day picnic drink is perfect for many: Fazer Dumle Oat Drink is a dairy-free, vegan, and gluten-free drink that pairs the beloved Dumle chocolate and fudge flavours with soft oats. This rich drink is available in a generous one-litre carton and a 250 ml cardboard packaging that is great for picnics. When unopened, the product can be stored in room temperature.

May Day brunch’s delicious vegan burgers are filled with Fazer Willja Crispy Nuggets

A nugget burger is succulent and filling but not too heavy for a May Day brunch. Plant-based, dairy-free, and vegan burgers are perfect for many, and they are filled with crunchy and crispy oat nuggets, vegetables, and oat-based Fazer Willja Spread & Dip dips.

Ingredients (4 servings)

• 1 packet of Fazer Willja Crispy Nuggets Original or TexMex
• 4 hamburger buns
• 1 large or 2 smaller tomatoes
• pickle
• Romaine lettuce leaves
• salsa
• Fazer Willja Spread & Dip Pea & Jalapeño or Herbs & Garlic

Method

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Bake the Fazer Willja Crispy Nuggets in the oven on a baking sheet for 12 minutes. Flip the nuggets over once while baking. Heat the hamburger buns in the over towards the end of the nuggets’ baking time.

Slice the tomato and pickle.

Build the burger by first spreading a generous amount of Fazer Willja Spread & Dip. Place two nuggets on the spread and then add tomato slices, pickles, and lettuce. Then add salsa for taste in the other bun.

You can also add any kind of (vegan) cheese, onion, or any other vegetables that suit you best in your burger.
