New Fazer Café Koskikeskus opens in Tampere
On Tuesday 12 March 2024, Fazer will open a new Fazer Café in the Koskikeskus shopping centre in Tampere. The café chain's 21st café offers customers memorable moments consisting of high-quality products, friendly customer service and a café milieu that combines fresh modernity and stylish traditionalism.
The much-appreciated Fazer Café chain continues to expand
Koskikeskus is a shopping centre located in the centre of Tampere, and it attracted 5.2 million visitors last year. The proximity of the railway station and bus station also bring a large number of event visitors and tourists to the shopping centre.
"We continue to expand our café operations in Tampere. Our popular Fazer Café on Hämeenkatu gets a much expected company from Koskikeskus. The new Fazer Café Koskikeskus will enrich the rapidly developing Tampere, and our customers can now enjoy high-quality café products and attentive customer service in a new environment," says Miika Kostilainen, Managing Director for Fazer Retail Finland.
The new Fazer Café, located in the central square of Koskikeskus, is easy to access from all entrances to the shopping centre. The café seats 85 customers and is open every day of the week.
Fazer Cafés serve in-house specialities
In Fazer Cafés, customers appreciate fresh ingredients, good taste, high quality and specialities that are only available at Fazer Café. These include, for example, Fazer Blue milk chocolate cake and coffee drinks flavoured with familiar confectionery brands such as Fazer Blue Cappuccino and Geisha latte.
"Since 1891, we have been pioneers in the Finnish café scene. Dedicated craftsmanship and respect for high-quality ingredients are ingrained in our DNA as we bake our products ourselves and, according to our customers' wishes, also offer vegan alternatives and sustainably produced Rainforest Alliance certified Fazer Blend and Fazer Blend Dark coffees," continues Miika Kostilainen. “We use exclusively Finnish rainbow trout in our cold-smoked salmon sandwiches, as well as in our other fish products, and we have received a lot of praise for this decision, as customers' awareness and willingness to make sustainable choices is increasing all the time."
At Fazer Café Koskikeskus you can enjoy a comprehensive breakfast or lunch, coffee and tea accompanied by a shrimp or Skagen sandwich, bebe or chocolate-arrack pastry, as well as buy pre-packaged salads, fresh porridges and smoothies on-to-go.
The café chain passes its insights on to Fazer's other businesses
Fazer Café Koskikeskus is the 21st Fazer Café in Finland and the second in Tampere and it continues the legendary story that the young and bold Karl Fazer started 133 years ago when he founded his French-Russian café on Kluuvikatu in Helsinki.
In 2024, Fazer is a consumer-centric food experience company. The cafés are strategically important consumer touch points, and the customer insights and know-how generated in them are also transferred to Fazer's other business operations.
In addition to Tampere, Fazer Cafés are located in the Helsinki capital area and Turku.
