New products from Fazer Bakery to delight Moomin fans and everyone with a sweet tooth, gluten-free product family keeps growing
Pullava, Finland’s best-selling family of filled sweet buns, has some new members: the soft and succulent berry-filled Oululainen Pullava Muhkea filled sweet loaves will soon be arriving in stores. There will also be two new delicious baked products especially suited for children’s tastes and featuring familiar characters from Moominvalley. Fazer’s Marjapiirakka berry pie product family, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this spring, will be joined by a new member, and small sweet buns will be available in a new flavour. The Fazer Gluteeniton gluten-free range is expanding with a number of new products that consumers have been asking for.
Summer delicacies with plenty of berries and authentic, full flavours
Summer is the golden time of sweet bakery products enjoyed both at home and on outings. Sweet bakery products are often impulse buys, and they have begun to challenge more traditional snacks. People appreciate the taste of real berries, as well as delicious appearance.1 Families with children also want bakery products that are suitable for snacking, and, among them, both taste and the ability to make better choices are important.2 The new Moomin-branded Ompukkapiirakka apple pies and sweet buns, developed especially for children, contain 30% less sugar.
Oululainen Pullava Muhkea raspberry cheesecake 285 g
Oululainen Pullava Muhkea raspberry cheesecake is a sweet bun loaf with a cheesecake filling and raspberry jam with plenty of raspberries, and topped with crushed dried raspberries. The fillings are added after baking to keep the flavours authentic and full. Succulence is enhanced by the vanilla filling. Lactose-free. Available in shops from 3 May 2021.

Fazer Moomin Ompukkapiirakka apple pie 2 pcs 140 g
Fazer berry pies are a beloved classic that have been baked at Fazer’s Vantaa bakery since 1971. To celebrate the anniversary year, all Fazer berry pies are being packaged in special anniversary packaging. Fazer Moomin Ompukkapiirakka apple pie is a new member of the berry pie product family. The filling has 30% less sugar than normal berry pies, making them particularly suitable for children. The packaging of the pies changes with the seasons and features familiar characters from Moominvalley. Lactose-free. Available in shops from 26 April 2021.
Fazer Moomin Puustit sweet buns 10 pcs 220 g
A new snack option for families with children will be available when Fazer Moomin Puustit sweet buns arrive in stores. Soft sweet buns have a fruity filling and contain 30% less sugar. The packaging features Moomin characters and their wise sayings. Vegan, lactose-free. Available in shops from 26 April 2021.
Selection of gluten-free products expands
Fazer is investing heavily in gluten-free products and is expanding the Fazer Gluteeniton product family, which was launched in early 2021. Consumers who follow a gluten-free diet have particularly requested easy on-the-go options and fresh, soft buns. The bread and sweet bakery products are baked in Lahti at the gluten-free Vuohelan bakery, which Fazer bought a year ago.
Fazer Gluteeniton sandwich with ham, cheese, egg and pickled cucumber 160 g
Fazer Gluteeniton sandwich is an easy snack or lunch option. Slices of dark buckwheat bread filled with plenty of Finnish ham, cheese, egg and pickled cucumber. Lactose and gluten-free. Available in shops from 26 April 2021.
Fazer Gluteeniton sweet bun with a dab of butter 2 pcs 120 g
Fazer Gluteeniton gluten-free sweet bun with a dab of butter is a welcome addition to the fresh product shelf. The bun has plenty of butter filling and keeps succulent and soft for days. Lactose and gluten-free. Available in shops from 26 April 2021.
Fazer Gluteeniton Ohut Kaura 100% oat bread 3 pcs 180g
Thin, 100% oat bread torn into two halves contains oats in multiple forms. High in fibre, Fazer Gluteeniton Ohut Kaura 100% is a great staple bread. Vegan, and lactose and gluten-free. Available in shops from 26 April 2021.

Vuohelan strawberry swiss roll now joins Fazer’s Gluteeniton gluten-free product family. This soft swiss roll is filled with strawberry jam and vanilla butter cream. Lactose and gluten-free.
