Spring is the time for oats: At the beginning of February, Fazer Bakery is bringing to the stores the 100-per cent Fazer Puikula 100Kaura bread, which clearly beat comparable products on the market in a taste test. The triumph of oats is also strengthened by new versions of favourites among families with children – the Fazer Lemppari rolls and the Oululainen Jälkiuuni Täysjyväkaura bread. The new sweet products include seasonal treats and the eye-catching premium-level Bon doughnuts. The new products will be available in stores from the beginning of February.
  

Oats are a super-grain

Fazer Puikula Pehmeämpi 100Kaura 4 pieces, 220 g

True to its name, Fazer’s new Puikula Pehmeämpi 100Kaura is made of 100 per cent Finnish oats. The new bread is deliciously soft and tasty and has a fresh feeling to it.

Fazer Puikula Pehmeämpi 100Kaura raises the entire category of oat breads to a new level. According to a taste test conducted by Foodwest, Fazer Puikula 100Kaura received the best consumer reviews in its history and clearly outperformed comparable products on the market.

Fazer Puikula 100Kaura is baked at Vantaa from Fazer Mill & Mixes’ 100 per cent Finnish oats. The bread has the Hyvää Suomesta label.

According to Finnish consumers, the assortment of rolls has remained virtually unchanged for a long time5. This is why we want to renew the assortment: Lending an ear to consumers’ wishes, we baked slightly better rolls representing the familiar, guaranteed Fazer quality for everyday use. Smallish rolls are suitable for the everyday life of every family.

The slow-cooked oatmeal which the dough of the oat roll is based on gives the roll its richness and fluffiness. The bread feels fresh for a long time. Whole grain oats account for 24 per cent of the grain in the oat roll.

The germinated grains of rye, millet as well as flax, sunflower and pumpkin seeds in this kernel roll make for a nice amount of crunch and plenty of fibre. The roll’s seed and grain content is 12 per cent.

Oululainen Jälkiuuni Täysjyväkaura 4 pieces, 240 g

Oululainen Jälkiuuni is one of the most well-known bread brands on the market, and it has a strong reputation as healthy bread with a good flavour1. The new version of it launched now is the result of Finnish whole grain oats (73 per cent) and spelt (27 per cent). Oululainen Jälkiuuni Täysjyväkaura has a chewy crust and a moist centre, which  is sure to please those who want something with a bit of bite.

The bread is baked entirely and solely out of Finnish whole grains, water, yeast and sea salt. Buying interest is high for this bread: 86 per cent and all the way up to 91 per cent among women.3

The Jälkiuuni family is also getting a new package design – the breads and chips now form a coherent product family. The new package increases clarity and improves the package’s visibility on the shelf.

Every stomach needs a friend

Up to 80 per cent of consumers are interested in the stomach-friendliness of bread products5. Fazer’s stomach-friendly Vatsaystävällinen product family offers bread alternatives that are gentler on the stomach. Now the product family’s look has also been revamped, and consumers will be better able to tell the Vatsaystävällinen products apart from the rest of the assortment.

Fazer Vatsaystävällinen Ruis 4 pieces, 260 g

Fazer Vatsaystävällinen Ruis is the world’s first rye bread with a reduced FODMAP carbohydrate content, thanks to our patented baking method. The bread’s recipe has been honed even further and it now has an increasingly tasty and clear flavour of rye and a moist centre.

Fazer Vatsaystävällinen Hiivaton Siemenleipä, 420 g

Consumer messages to Fazer on social media and through consumer feedback have expressed a wish for flourless and yeastless bread.  As a result, we are introducing a new Fazer product baked with plenty of seeds, flakes and grains, but no flour at all.

This high-fibre bread combines good flavour with natural healthiness.

Newcomers to the doughnut bar

The doughnut bar is changing the game and will now charm your socks off, no matter how experienced a sweet tooth you have. Fazer is launching smaller Bon doughnuts for genuine gourmets. The Bon doughnuts are premium doughnuts whose delightful flavour is the result of interesting combinations of different fillings, sprinkles and icings. 

Berry Bon täytetty herkkumunkki, 16 x 63 g

A purplish icing with a blackberry flavour, a rich blueberry filling and a sprinkle of dried blackcurrant on top.

Vanilla mocca Bon täytetty herkkumunkki, 16 x 65 g

A richly soft mocha-flavoured icing, an old-fashioned pastry cream filling and a sprinkle of biscuit crumbs.

The doughnuts are lactose-free.
Deliveries of Bon doughnuts will begin on 4 February 2019.
The Bon doughnuts will also be available in the assortment of frozen products for consumers starting from 18 February 2019:

Gluten-free sweet treats

Fazer Gluteeniton Kinuskikakkunen 2 pieces, 150 g (fresh)
Fazer Gluteeniton Kinuskikakkunen 15 x 75 g (frozen)

The new, scrumptious Fazer Gluteeniton Kinuskikakkunen is suitable for people with coeliac disease. The small caramel cake hides a lovely heart of caramel. This beautiful sweet pastry is decorated by hand with caramel icing and caramel brittle.

Gluten and lactose-free. Baked in Finland.

Spring delights: traditional delicacies and refreshing newcomers

Fazer Juhlalimppu, 400 g

The softly spicy Fazer Juhlalimppu, baked in sourdough, gives the final touch to a festive table. The dough’s long resting time gives the bread its soft texture and flavour. Contains candied orange peel jam, raisins, aniseed and fennel, which give the loaf its wonderfully spicy aroma.

Milk and lactose-free. Baked in Finland, at Fazer’s bakery in Vantaa.  Available for a limited period of time only. Deliveries from 1 March to 30 April and during Christmas 2019.

Fazer Auringonpaiste kakkurulla, 485 g

A sunny combination of fresh mango and mouthwatering white chocolate is the perfect treat with which to welcome spring. Cake roll sales have increased by 15 per cent this year.7

Fazer Runebergintorttu 2 pieces, 208 g

The best Runebergintorttu (Runeberg tart) on the market has been baked to the same recipe since 1975. Fazer’s Runebergintorttu brings together delightful flavours and a succulently delicious texture, which is born from the batter containing crushed almonds and the rum used for moistening.

Available for a limited period of time only. Delivery period: 8 January – 5 February 2019. The case can be sorted into containers for recyclable paperboard and the base is recyclable plastic.

Fazer Laskiaispulla 2 pieces, 214 g

Fazer Laskiaispullas are filled with real cream and fresh strawberry jam or almond paste. The product is lactose-free.  Baked in Finland, at Fazer’s Vantaa bakery.

Fazer Tippaleipä 2 pieces, 120 g

Fazer bakes the genuine and one-of-a-kind Tippaleipä funnel cakes with its own, unique recipe, which goes back to the 1960s. These treats are meant to be shared with friends and family. The Fazer way of eating them involves lightly pressing the top of the Tippaleipä to crush it, so that all of the sweet tooths present can nibble on the Tippaleipä crumbs.

The most popular braided sweet loaf in the Oululainen Pullava product family makes a return to the spring and Easter assortments.
