The world’s rarest chocolate now at Fazer

Fazer brings a limited edition of the Fazer Pure Ruby chocolate on sale in November 2018.  Ruby chocolate is a new variety of chocolate launched in 2017. It is based on the special ruby cocoa beans and a unique manufacturing method. The Fazer Pure Ruby chocolate bars are made at Fazer’s chocolate factory in Vantaa, Finland, and they will be available from November onwards at the Fazer Experience visitor centre, Fazer Cafés and the online store Fazer Candy.

Ruby chocolate combines the qualities of dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate, while being an entirely independent chocolate variety of its own.  Its development work took more than ten years, and it is a patented invention.

“The special characteristics of ruby chocolate derive from the unique ruby cocoa beans. The chocolate made from them is naturally pink and its taste is reminiscent of berries, but it has not been dyed and does not contain artificial flavours”, says Tiina Karppinen, Vice President of product development at Fazer Confectionery. Ruby chocolate is made from responsibly produced cocoa beans grown in the Ivory Coast, Brazil and Ecuador.

The Fazer Pure Ruby chocolate bar is available as a limited edition of 15,500 bars, each one numbered. The chocolate will be sold as of November at the Fazer Experience visitor centre, Fazer Cafés and the online store Fazer Candy for as long as stocks last.
