Finnair will start collaborating with Bókun, an Iceland-based sales and contract management platform for the tours and activities industry. The collaboration aims to speed up the digitalisation of tours and activities in Finland, and to make various experiences easily available for international travellers.

The sales and contract management software by Bókun ensures that tours and activities providers can manage their inventory in a digital format, making them easily available for customers to buy through their own web pages or through other service providers. Clients can receive payments and connect to one other to bundle products and cross sell them as well.

"Bókun has been one of the catalysts of Iceland’s booming travel industry, and we believe it will also be beneficial for the Finnish travel industry, making tours and activities more accessible for our customers,” says Katri Harra-Salonen, Chief Digital Officer for Finnair. "Travelers will appreciate that experiences are easily found and can be bought through different webpages while various providers will be able to be more effective in their operations and also collaborate with one another."

Finnair and Bókun will arrange a series of workshops for tour operators to familiarize them with the new platform.

"We want to make the unique Finnish travel experiences more easily and effectively available for our international customer base,” adds Harra-Salonen. "The further development of our travel-related ecosystem is an important focus area for us."

"It is an honour for us to be part of the digitalization of the Finnish travel industry, and our proven platform offers a concrete tool for this,” says Hjalti Baldursson, CEO of Bókun.

Bókun is a cloud-based sales, inventory and management platform to connect the tourism industry. Bókun allows all connected to the platform to sell their own products and services online, as well as to collaborate with each other, share their inventory in real time, cross sell and earn commissions.
