Freetrailer signs a new strategic partnership with PMU Second Hand
Freetrailer Sverige AB has just signed a four year strategic partnership agreement with the Swedish second-hand store chain PMU Second Hand. The agreement will further strengthen Freetrailer's already significant presence in Sweden.
Freetrailer is now adding another strong business partner to its portfolio in Sweden. It is the nationwide second-hand store chain PMU Second Hand. The agreement, which in the first stage includes 46 trailers distributed among 21 of PMU Second Hand's 58 stores, covers all of Sweden from Trelleborg in the south to Haparanda in the north, and thereby strengthens the company's presence throughout the country. The partnership has great growth potential.
PMU Second Hand sells donated goods with the help of volunteers and work-oriented vocational training in its stores, and the surplus from sales goes to various social and humanitarian initiatives that PMU and its local partners are involved in. PMU works with organisations in 28 countries.
"It is crucial for us to offer the best possible service to our customers and donors. With Freetrailer, it is now even easier for our customers to transport their finds home from the stores, while the donors now have a practical and convenient transport option to our stores. The needs around the world are growing and we therefore have a need for more goods for our stores. We believe that the partnership with Freetrailer can help us with this. The collaboration also gives us a unique opportunity to strengthen our branding and marketing efforts with the rolling advertising that the trailers provide," says Mats Hillerström, Operations Manager for PMU Second Hand.
"Our concept is growing in popularity among businesses and consumers in Sweden. The agreement with PMU Second Hand is further proof of that. More and more consumers have realised the benefits of renting rather than owning, and many Swedish companies are using our self-service concept to both attract customers and strengthen their local awareness in the area. For practical reasons, we are starting the partnership in locations where the stores are centrally administered by PMU Second Hand. Subsequently, there are good opportunities to expand the partnership with the remaining PMU Second Hand stores in Sweden," says Johan Wijkander, Country Manager for Freetrailer in Sweden.
