At IKEA, we want to make everyday life easier for the many people. That also means helping customers get their purchases home in a simple and flexible way. Freetrailer gives our customers an accessible transport option directly at our stores
Ingo Ronny Sellin-Wortmann, Services Experience Leader, IKEA Deutschland
This is an important expansion for Freetrailer in Germany. When one of the world’s largest home furnishing retailers chooses to scale the solution significantly, it underlines the strength of our model. I am also pleased that the agreement gives us access to 10 major new locations in our focus region of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) in Germany
Thomas Zeihlund, Group CEO of Freetrailer Group A/S
The strong performance in May confirms that the peak season is now fully underway, but also that our team is ready to deliver a great user experience through a well-functioning trailer fleet, high system uptime, strong marketing engagement, and excellent support for the relatively few customers who require assistance from our customer service team.   In May, we launched a new initiative called Freetrailer on Tour, aimed at both potential and existing users, where we meet them directly at our partner locations. It is important for us to get closer to our customers and increase awareness of the Freetrailer concept where they already use our solution in their everyday lives. This direct dialogue provides valuable insights and strengthens our relationships.   We are entering the summer season with strong momentum and a continued focus on scalable operations, high availability, and a simple, seamless user experience
Thomas Zeihlund, Group CEO of Freetrailer Group
Q1 demonstrates the strength of our business model and our team. We delivered 26.4% revenue growth in a quarter characterized by low seasonality and severe winter weather, while at the same time making targeted investments in the future of Freetrailer. With increased focus on our users, demand remains strong, and we are entering the high season with a solid foundation. We continue to see positive trends well into the spring, confirming the strength of our model. As a result, Freetrailer raises its revenue guidance for 2026. The positive development follows increased efforts and greater investments in the platform, organisation, and the Freetrailer brand. At the same time, we are working closely with our manufacturers to increase capacity, enabling us to deploy more rental products faster and convert demand into continued profitable growth
Thomas Zeihlund, Group CEO
Our growth is driven not only by an increasing number of rental products, but also by a high level of service, strong partnerships, and user experience that customers value. This combination creates a self-reinforcing effect: more users and rentals increase the relevance and value for our partners
Thomas Zeihlund, Group CEO
Q1 2026 confirms that Freetrailer continues its strong growth, with an 18.9% increase in the number of rentals and progress across all markets. This development is supported by a growing and more active user base, as well as strong partnerships, where Freetrailer is becoming increasingly integrated into partners’ customer offerings.   At the same time, we are seeing high capacity utilisation at weekends, and the booking development in March indicates that the seasonal uplift has started earlier this year than last year. Our focus remains on strong operational execution, a simple and reliable customer experience, and disciplined scaling of the business
Thomas Zeihlund, Group CEO
Freetrailer is entering its next phase from a position of strength. We have a business model that works, a platform that can scale, and a market position that enables us to continue growing with both focus and dedication.   During the reporting period, we continued to deliver progress in our core business. This provides a strong foundation for further developing the company, expanding our market position and strengthening our collaboration with the right partners.   My focus is to ensure Freetrailer continues to grow ambitiously and responsibly. We must make it even easier for users to choose Freetrailer, while leveraging our strong position to build an even larger and more relevant platform across markets
Thomas Zeihlund, Group CEO
We always strive to make the purchasing journey as simple and smooth as possible for our customers. That’s why we offer several flexible delivery options – from fast home delivery to in-home installation. But sometimes you want to take your new product home directly from the store. In those situations, it’s a big advantage to be able to add a free loan trailer through Freetrailer – a partnership we are very pleased with. This way, you can easily transport large products, such as a 98-inch TV, home the same day and enjoy your new experience straight away.
Tony Ottebjer-Winkler, Director of Operations and Sustainability at Elgiganten
We are incredibly proud to enter into a long-term partnership with Granngården, one of Sweden’s strongest and most trusted retail brands. The collaboration is a major step in strengthening our presence in the Swedish market. With more than 120 mesh trailers in the first phase and clear potential for future growth, this is a strategically important deal for Freetrailer.
Johan Wijkander, Country Manager Sweden at Freetrailer.
We see this partnership as an opportunity to add even more value to our customer offering. With Freetrailer, we can offer a flexible and sustainable transport solution that matches how our customers live and shop today. The pilot showed us how well the concept fits our stores and now we are ready to take it further.
Magnus Detterholm, CEO of Granngården.
We are delivering the strongest quarter in Freetrailer’s history with 485,628 rentals, 25.6% revenue growth, and an EBIT of DKK 13.3 million. We now have more than 900,000 users and expect to reach our milestone of 1,000,000 users by the end of December. Our solution remains the most flexible and user-friendly on the market. That is why we are growing in all five countries and significantly expanding our partner network. We make it easy to borrow, easy to operate, and easy to scale. We also see significant potential in further developing our platform. Our ‘Outdoor Media’ concept is becoming an increasingly important business area, and we expect to launch ‘Freetrailer Business’ – a new B2B solution – in the new year. The guidance for the first half of the year shows that we expect continued progress in both revenue and earnings. It strengthens our belief in the strategy and the market we operate in. What drives us is simplicity, technology, and strong relationships. When we combine that with a deep understanding of user needs and a unified culture within the organisation, we have a platform that can grow with clarity and direction.
Nicolai Frisch Erichsen, CEO at Freetrailer
We have 29 local offices across Denmark, and we rent out 7,000 privately owned holiday homes to both Danish and international guests. We want to engage even more locally and offer a service that makes a real difference in everyday life. With Freetrailer’s concept, we get both a flexible transport solution and a visible platform that creates value for us and the local communities.
Sol og Strand’s Operations Manager, Jonas Balle Pedersen.
We see high demand for trailers in holiday towns, especially during the peak season. The collaboration with Sol og Strand is a great opportunity for us to bring our service even closer to end users.
Lars Kronqvist, Nordic Sales Manager at Freetrailer.
At Het Goed, we work every day to give used goods a second life. With Freetrailer, we can offer a service that makes both shopping and donating easier, while also enhancing our local visibility. The trailers strengthen both the customer experience and the circular economy. We chose Freetrailer because their solution combines operational reliability, scalability, and ease of use with a clear focus on sustainability. It fits perfectly with our values and allows us to offer a service that creates real value for both customers and donors.
Martijn Bijmolt, Operational Director at Het Goed
We have always had high expectations for the Dutch market and they are being fulfilled. The agreement with Het Goed for 58 trailers across 29 locations gives us a solid boost and builds on the momentum we have created since July. We are seeing a clear interest in our concept, and we are far from done. Het Goed has been a strong and professional partner throughout the process. We experience that the Dutch market responds quickly, which motivates us to accelerate further. We anticipate a significant expansion of our Dutch business in the coming year.
Nicolai Frisch Erichsen, CEO of Freetrailer Group A/S
We’ve had a strong start in the Netherlands and are receiving great support from both partners and users. The Het Goed partnership is a key step in our continued rollout.
Christian Tepper, Country Manager of Freetrailer Netherlands
We are delivering yet another strong quarter with a new rental record and continue to gain market share across all five markets. It is particularly encouraging to see growth in Denmark - a market where we already have high penetration.   We now have nearly 6,000 products in operation and more than 320 on the way. This provides even greater visibility and accessibility – especially in new growth areas such as the Netherlands.   With more than 900,000 active users on the app, we are confirming that our platform is both widespread and in demand. When new players enter the market, customers still choose us. It is Freetrailer they know and trust. Mont Blanc 2027 is well underway. The strategy is working – and we are stronger than ever
Nicolai Frisch Erichsen, CEO of Freetrailer Group
The annual report for 2024/25 clearly demonstrates that we have struck the right balance between growth, profitability, and scalability. We are delivering the best results in the company’s history, built on a solid and scalable foundation. With more than 1.5 million rentals and nearly 6,000 trailers in the market, we have reached critical mass and are approaching one million app users. Freetrailer is already a natural part of everyday life for thousands of people - every single day - and there is still so much more to achieve. We have the platform and the organisation to take things to the next level. We continue to follow our Mont Blanc 2027 strategy and execute every day. Our ambition is to make Freetrailer the preferred solution for flexible and sustainable transport, creating a business with international reach and strong profitability
Nicolai Frisch Erichsen, CEO of Freetrailer Group
In Q4 24/25, Freetrailer delivered record net revenue of DKK 39.6 million, representing a 25.0% increase compared to Q4 23/24. The strong year-end finish means we are able to present results that exceed our expectations.   We are seeing strong growth in new users. The number of Freetrailer users grew to 724,023 by the end of June. With more than 75,000 new users in July and mid-August, we remain focused on reaching our goal of 1 million users on the platform by the end of 2025.   Freetrailer has had a strong start to the 2025/26 financial year. In July, we set a new rental record with 174,382 rentals (compared to 154,760 in July 2024), and for the period July to September 2025, we expect rental volumes to increase by around 15% compared to the same period in 2024.
Nicolai Frisch Erichsen, CEO of Freetrailer Group.
The Freetrailer team has delivered an impressive effort over the past 12 months. Our rollout in the Netherlands has gone better than expected, and we have already passed more than 6,250 rentals across our 75 active locations. We continue to strengthen our Sales and CSM teams so we can sustain growth while ensuring a great experience for our partners. With more than 200 trailers on order across our five markets and framework agreements set to double the number of trailers in Germany in the coming 12 months, we are maintaining momentum going into the 2025/26 financial year. With a target of more than 1,000,000 verified users in our app by the end of 2025, we continue to strengthen our position as Europe’s largest mobility platform for trailer sharing.”
Nicolai Frisch Erichsen, Group CEO, Freetrailer
We have reached 1.5 million rentals over the past 12 months and set new records on both weekly and daily bases. This demonstrates the strength of our model and the trust both customers and partners have in Freetrailer. The numbers confirm what we are seeing in the market: demand is high, and we have the platform and the organization to deliver. We are entering Q4 with clear goals and a strong foundation.
Nicolai Frisch, Group CEO, Freetrailer
We are pleased with the development this quarte, especially considering that it is one of the year’s quieter rental periods. The spring season is starting later this year compared to 2024, when Easter fell in March. At the same time, we have launched many new rental units – both in Sweden and in new markets such as Germany and the Netherlands.   Naturally, it takes a little time for new products and locations to reach their full potential, but we are already seeing clear signs that the impact is on its way. With more than 200 rental units ready for the Dutch market and over 300 units currently on order, we are well positioned for continued growth in the coming quarter.
Nicolai Frisch, Group CEO, Freetrailer
We believe the initiation of the share repurchase programme marks another milestone in Freetrailer’s journey as a listed company. Being a profitable growth company has led to a significant cash position, which we are now seeking to distribute in a way that is mutually beneficial for the company and its shareholders. We will continue to evaluate and undertake attractive projects and investments, and we believe we will have the necessary resources to do so following completion of the share repurchase programme.
Nicolai Frisch Erichsen, Group CEO, Freetrailer
Partnering with Freetrailer allows us to offer our customers a free and practical transport solution that enhances their shopping experience while supporting our sustainability goals. We are pleased to offer a sharing-friendly mobility solution that aligns with our vision.

Expanding our collaboration to all 12 stores in the Netherlands marks an important milestone. Freetrailer’s self-service platform makes it easy and convenient for consumers in the Netherlands to transport their purchases sustainably, and we look forward to reaching even more customers across Europe.
Nicolai Frisch, CEO of Freetrailer Group
We are proud to continue our collaboration with a world-leading home furnishing retailer and provide customers across the Netherlands with easy, sustainable transport options. This is a key step in our mission to make shared mobility accessible to all.
Sara Lyngsøe, CMO at Freetrailer
We at Freetrailer are pleased with the strong development in our rental frequency and the robust order pipeline of over 300 trailers, which will be rolled out over the next two quarters. In Q2 24/25, Germany delivered 62.5% growth in user-generated revenue compared to Q2 23/24, and this growth has continued into 2025. More trailers in the German market, increased brand awareness, and the introduction of a new pricing model have driven this positive development. With Q2 24/25 behind us, we are now ready to launch in the Netherlands in March 2025, where we will start with 130 trailers and strong partners.
Group CEO, Nicolai Frisch
Integrating Freetrailer’s self-service platform into our store supports IKEA’s sustainability goals by offering a flexible, sharing economy solution. This initiative is aimed at creating even easier and better transport solutions for our customers. The presence of IKEA branding on each trailer not only enhances our store's visibility but also serves as a dynamic marketing tool, reaching a wider audience.
Bastiaan de Vrijer, Customer Experience Manager at IKEA Delft
Our partnership with IKEA now includes over 700 trailers across 100 IKEA stores in Europe. The expansion to IKEA's Flagship Store in Delft, Netherlands, represents a significant step forward in our collaboration with IKEA. With IKEA Delft's Flagship Store, Freetrailer gains exposure to IKEA’s more than 800 franchise stores worldwide.
Nicolai Frisch, Group CEO of Freetrailer
Six strong partners and over 100 trailers form a solid foundation for our launch in the Netherlands in 2025. The Dutch market holds significant growth potential for Freetrailer, with the number of cars equipped with tow bars comparable to Scandinavia and a total fleet of cars in the Netherlands equivalent to the combined totals of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. Additionally, the Netherlands is one of the most digitalised societies in Europe, making our self-service solution ideal for Dutch consumers seeking a simple and affordable way to rent a trailer.
Nicolai Frisch Erichsen, CEO of Freetrailer Group A/S
In December, Freetrailer strengthened our European expansion by forming a new partnership with RataPlan in the Netherlands. The official launch is scheduled for March 2025, but we are already experiencing significant interest in the Freetrailer concept from Dutch partners and customers. Meanwhile, our Swedish sales team set a new record with 39 contracts signed in Q2 – the highest number ever achieved in a single quarter on the Swedish market. Sweden continues to offer significant growth potential, and at Freetrailer, we are committed to substantially increasing our market share in Sweden in 2025. By the end of the year, we reached 2,002 rental products in the Swedish market, marking an important milestone for Freetrailer.
Nicolai Frisch, Group CEO of Freetrailer

The strong first quarter result is in line with our expectations for the financial year and we therefore maintain our guidance for revenue and EBITDA for the financial year. I am pleased that the growth in our first quarter is based on the development of existing partnerships and the establishment of new partners through our continued international expansion. Our investment in raising the profile of Freetrailer is bearing fruit. Over the past 12 months, we have increased the number of partners from 120 to 166, representing a growth of more than 38.8%. The roll-out plan in the Netherlands is progressing as expected and we look forward to launching the first trailers on the market in the first quarter of 2025.

422,683 rentals in a single quarter is an achievement that speaks for itself. It is clear proof that our business model works, and that we are driving a real change in the market. Having over 5,000 products available to our customers shows that we are not just following trends – we are setting them. This is not simply luck; it is the result of hard work, a sharp strategy, and the dedicated efforts of the entire team. We will keep pushing forward, and we are far from finished. We are here to achieve even greater results, and this journey has only just begun.
Nicolai Frisch, CEO, Freetrailer Group

The strong finish to the year means that we can present a result better than our expectations. Freetrailer has entered the financial year 2024/25 strongly. In July, we broke a new rental record with 154,760 rentals (114,041 rentals in July 2023) and seen for the period July and to September 2024, we are looking at an increase in rentals of approx. 30% compared to the same period in 2023.
Nicolai Frisch Erichsen
We have achieved historically strong growth in all our markets over the past 12 months, with Q4 in particular developing significantly better than expected. With a rental rate of 92.1% for the period April to June, customers demand for Freetrailer's service is by no means saturated. In the coming financial year, Freetrailer will therefore also invest in growth. Furthermore, our IT team has successfully launched a new app that amongst others enables our users to pay via ApplePay.
Nicolai Frisch Erichsen, CEO Freetrailer Group
