Gapwaves receives order for development of automotive radar antenna

Gapwaves has signed an agreement with a tier 1 supplier for development of antenna prototypes for 77 GHz automotive radar. The agreement refers to development and production of antenna prototypes based on the gap waveguide technology and the customer’s specifications. The antenna prototypes will be delivered during first quarter 2019 for tests and evaluations. Vinnova has granted 18.7 MSEK for research on next generation’s automotive radar

Vinnova, Sweden’s Innovation Agency, recently announced that a 18.7 MSEK research grant for the project “Hardware for next generation millimeter wave automotive radar sensor” was approved. The total project budget amounts to 37.2 MSEK. The partners within the research project are Gapwaves, Veoneer, CEVT and Chalmers University of Technology.
