Getinge introduces a flexible workplace deal for employees in the UK and Ireland

Following extensive consultation with employees, Getinge has announced and successfully implemented a long-term flexible workplace deal in the UK and Irish organisations. All eligible employees who traditionally would have been office based, have accepted an offer to work at least 3 days per week from home allowing greater flexibility for post pandemic working.

The announcement reflects the company’s commitment to supporting its people and responding to changing working patterns accelerated by Covid.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, following government guidelines, and ensuring employees were safe, Getinge took the decision to ask employees, wherever possible, to work from home.  For nearly two years Getinge has adopted this new way of working and as a result of positive feedback, has now given employees an offer for a flexible approach to working.

“Our people continue to go above and beyond to support their teams and meet the needs of our customers. While not everyone is able to work flexibly all of the time, we want to make it as easy as possible when they do. From discussions with our people and customers, we believe these changes will make a real difference, helping support greater work life balance and giving our people more confidence to work flexibly” shared Avril Forde, President, North Europe.

Getinge understands that the needs of today’s workforce may change in the coming years, but it has proven that it can be agile and adapt to ensure it continues to be an employer of choice.
