Getinge performs a voluntary field correction towards customers on Maquet Cardiosave Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump

Getinge conducts a voluntary field correction globally towards customers of 5,223 Maquet Cardiosave Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP) from Datascope Corporation. The costs are expected to be non-material.

The voluntary field correction occurs due to potential interruption and/or inability to start therapy to the patient prior to or during the use of Cardiosave IABP for users who are at altitudes above 3,200 feet (975 meters). The costs of the field correction are not material.

Communication to customers is carried out in accordance with regulatory processes and requirements, including a recommendation of usage until the field correction has been completed.

It is important to note that there have been no adverse events or mortalities attributed to this issue to date.
