Getinge reaches record deliveries of vascular grafts to customers
After ramping up the production of polyester grafts and patches to treat aneurysmal and occlusive diseases, Getinge is now reaching delivery records, supporting health care staff around the world in the treatment of hundreds of patients per day with the help of these solutions.
The demand for Getinge’s high quality vascular grafts is growing and following a 3 Million Euro investment in 2020 to increase manufacturing capacity at the Getinge La Ciotat (France) factory, the medtech supplier is reaching record months of deliveries to their customers.
“Together with partners and customers, our team has made great efforts to adjust how we work to meet the demands. The changes go beyond expanding the facility area to include doing things in more efficient and productive ways, while not compromising on quality and safety,” says Jocelyn Lebrun, Managing Director in La Ciotat at Getinge.
Today, Getinge’s vascular grafts support health care providers in the treatment of hundreds of patients per day. The key to enabling this is trust, commitment, communication, and proactivity. During this initiative, production has been running nonstop, thanks to the engaged and committed staff in La Ciotat.
“Although construction was completed during the pandemic, we didn’t wait for demand to return; instead we increased production in advance because we know our customers depend on our solutions. Team spirit and passion for life made this possible and today we are delivering more than ever before, with more than 99% of our customer orders supplied on time and in full,” says Julien Monarcha, Director of Global Marketing and Product Management for Aortic Grafts at Getinge.
Getinge has more than 50 years of technical and clinical experience in vascular graft technology and is today one of the leading manufacturers worldwide within this segment. The demand continues to grow and the team in La Ciotat anticipates 2022 to be a big year.
“Our ambition is to be the leading manufacturer of vascular grafts worldwide by providing a solution for every vascular procedure with a selection of high quality products and support for health care professionals with unique educational hands-on training possibilities. As a manufacturing site, we will continue to deliver products that meet the increasing market demands and provide value to our customers. We are very proud of what we have accomplished together as a team to serve our growing customer base,” says Jocelyn.
