Helping people is her biggest driver
Managing a region including 33 countries with a vast diversity in cultures, politics, economics and healthcare market dynamics might sound challenging. Zeynep Sanver, President Central and Eastern Europe at Getinge, addresses it with a strong belief in capable, empowered local teams and a passion for helping people.
“Joining the healthcare sector was a conscious decision after I completed my master’s degree in engineering business management. I have always been thrilled to be part of an industry where the focus is on helping people overcome difficult situations,” says Zeynep Sanver, President Central and Eastern Europe at Getinge.
Making life-saving technology accessible for more people is a big driver for herself and her team.
“This common purpose gives every discussion the right perspective. It’s present in every choice we make, and it encourages us to make a difference together with our customers and partners.”
The region she manages features many potentially expansive markets with different maturity levels, each of them with its own dynamics and priorities. Some countries have more high-tech and innovation focus whereas improving healthcare access by increased capacity is a more vital priority for others. As in other regions, Getinge’s customers need to address healthcare trends such as increased costs, staff shortages, needs for personalized medicine and bigger focus on digitalizing healthcare as well as making it more sustainable.
“The global population is getting bigger and older, and the number of people with multiple illnesses is increasing. We also witness how lifestyle diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, continue to be one of the primary causes of death worldwide. To manage these challenges, more efficient healthcare is needed. With our broad scope of solutions, training offerings and highly capable teams we can partner with our customers to face the challenges together,” Zeynep says.
She is proud of the Central and Eastern Europe team and all the things they achieve.
