Leading Orthopaedic and Sports Injury Clinic Signs Contract with Getinge Group to Provide Turnkey Service for New Centre in London.
Getinge Group has been selected as the turnkey provider for a new dedicated orthopaedic day case centre in London.
Two years ago, Getinge Group were approached to supply an operating theatre suite turnkey solution for the new Fortius medical facility in London, The Fortius Group is the UK’s largest single orthopaedic and sports injury medicine group in the UK. The theatre suite was to comprise of 3 operating theatres, scrubs, utility rooms, staff rooms and a 5 bed patient recovery area as well as all associated mechanical and electrical services. The theatre suite would be constructed using Variop Modular wall system (walls, ceiling elements and doors) and include Getinge’s Group Maquet Surgical and Anaesthetic ceiling supply units, theatre lights, operating tables and Tegris OR integration to enable video routing, recording and transmission and data management. Demonstrating the expertise and knowledge to provide not only the originally requested products and services but to become the main contractor for the entire design and build project, Getinge was also asked to supply the upstairs area of 5 single patient rooms, 7 single patient pods, nurses station, consultancy rooms, staff changing rooms, pharmacy, clinical store and 2 patient bed lifts to transport patients to and from the theatre suite.

The construction is now underway, with an opening date scheduled for October 2016.
