New Executive Vice President of the Medical Systems business area

Heinz Jacqui has been appointed the new Executive Vice President of the Medical Systems business area and will assume the position on 1 April 2012. In addition to his responsibilities for the Medical Systems business area, Heinz Jacqui will be a member of Getinge’s Group management. Heribert Ballhaus, who has successfully headed Medical Systems since 2001, will retire on the same date as scheduled.

Heinz Jacqui has a B. Sc. in Engineering and has worked in the medical-technical sector since the late 1980s, and as President of Olympus Medicals’ surgical endoscope business for the past eight years. Olympus’ surgical endoscope business generates annual sales of about SEK 8 billion and conducts significant operations in the US and Europe. Heinz Jacqui possesses extensive experience in the intensive-care area, where he held such positions as Head of Dräger’s respiratory operations.
