New head of Getinge’s business area, Infection Control

Christer Ström, who has successfully led one of Getinge Group’s three business areas, Infection Control since 2005, has now had to step down from his position due to illness.

Johan Falk has been appointed as the new Head of Infection Control and will take his place in Getinge AB’s Group Management. Johan Falk is 39 and joins us from his position as Head of B&B Tools Markets, a business area within the B&B Tools Group for which Johan has also been part of the Group Management. Since 2001, Johan has been the driving force behind the build-up of TOOLS, the Nordic region’s leading chain in the retail of tools and industrial supplies with net sales of just over SEK 5 billion. Johan, who has a Master of Engineering, has aside from his time with B&B Tools, also worked as a consultant at McKinsey and worked in private equity.

Johan Falk will take up his position in January 2011.
