Smoother sterile reprocessing workflow with new ultrasonic cleaners and packing stations
Getinge’s extensive range of equipment for enabling a seamless sterile reprocessing flow has been extended with new Getinge Elmasonic Med Ultrasonic Cleaning units and flexible, ergonomic packaging stations that can be adapted to the user’s preferred working methods.
“We always develop our workflow equipment with the customer’s entire circulation of sterile goods in mind. Both the ultrasonic cleaning units and the flexible packaging stations are strengthening our offer of easy-to-use products suitable for different requirements and capacities,” says Jason Kimström, Product Manager Workflow Offering at Getinge.
The Getinge Elmasonic Med Ultrasonic Cleaners are free-standing bench models with stainless steel tanks, available in six different models, from 6 to 90 liters.
“Since the method cleans wherever the liquid gets in contact with a surface, ultrasonic cleaning makes it possible to clean intricate parts with little or no disassembly. The limit temperature can be set individually to help prevent denaturation of protein, which ensures that valuable instruments are protected and perfectly cleaned,” Jason explains.
The intuitive user interface features five individual ultrasonic modes. Individual cleaning programs can be saved in the menu and activated via quick selection for reliable processes and reproducible cleaning results.
The new table range provides staff who sort, inspect and package surgical instruments with flexible, ergonomic and easy-to-clean workplaces.
“The fixed or height-adjustable tables can be used as they are or be equipped with accessories to provide an individually configured workstation. The customer also has the possibility to choose one of our pre-configured workstations,” Jason says.
He continues:
“Our Workflow Offering products suit many different applications, such as Central Sterile Supply Departments (CSSDs), small clinics and practices, Ambulatory Surgery Centers ASCs), dental clinics and laboratories. Together with our washer-disinfectors, sterilizers and consumables, they offer customers complete solutions with a coherent design and functionality.”
