Halton signed an agreement with Skanska Healthcare to supply indoor climate systems to New Karolinska Solna university hospital
Halton delivers indoor climate systems for the New Karolinska Solna university hospital in Sweden. The new hospital will be one of the largest and most innovative healthcare facilities worldwide.
The New Karolinska Solna University Hospital (NKS) will be one of the largest and most innovative health care facilities in the world. It offers specialized medical care and will be a center for research and educational training on a significant scale. The hospital opens for the first patients in 2016 and is completely ready in 2017.
New Karolinska Solna targets to provide more patient-centered care, where patient safety, privacy and comfort come first. In addition, LEED Gold certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and “Miljöbyggnad” Gold certification is set as a goal for the project.
