Trainee surveyor is rare breed representative

21-year-old Harper Adams student, Anna Meynell, is hoping to increase the awareness of a rare breed of horse by representing it at agricultural shows and events. Anna, who studies Rural Enterprise and Land Management (REALM), has a two-year-old Cleveland Bay called Brackenbrae Birlinn. As she was able to live at home during her placement year at Howkins and Harrison Estate Agents, Anna saved her earnings to buy a young horse. Around 50 students and staff from food-related courses turned up to the event held at the Regional Food Academy exhibition hall on campus. Study investigates how much straw bedding pigs eat and how this affects their digestion.A RECENT graduate of Harper Adams is investigating how much straw bedding pigs eat and how this affects their digestion, as part of a special research placement. Stephen Mansbridge is completing a Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) research experience placement (REP) on the farm at the University College in Shropshire.
