    Hufvudstaden welcomes New Yorker to Femman in Gothenburg

    New Yorker is establishing its first store in central Gothenburg. The new unit in Femman, Nordstan, will become the chain’s largest in Sweden and a significant addition to the mall’s attractive mix of brands.Founded in Germany in 1971, New Yorker is today one of Europe’s leading fashion retailers for young customers, with more than 1,200 stores in 47 countries.     Hufvudstaden welcomes Activate to Gothenburg

    Hufvudstaden has signed a lease agreement with the international experience concept Activate for a space in the property 8:24 Fyran in Gothenburg. The premises cover 733 square metres.Activate is an interactive game and activity center from Canada, where physical activity is combined with digital technology across various challenge-based game zones. The concept is already established in over 65 locations across USA, Canada, UK, and Dubai.     Leading home furnishings and textiles retailer Hemtex is to open its largest store in Sweden in Nordstan at Hufvudstaden’s premises this autumn. The store, located at a prime location along Götgatan, is spread over two floors covering an area of more than 1,000 square metres.This will be Hemtex’s second store in central Gothenburg and will offer customers the brand’s classic range of textiles and furnishings.     New brand and store expansions for Femman

    DRM-LND - the innovative retail concept that enables customers to create their own smartphone cases and jewellery - is to open its first Gothenburg store in Femman at the beginning of August. Separately, two existing Femman stores, Lundbergs and Partyland, will move to new retail spaces in Femman over the summer.DRM-LND’s approximately 90-square-metre store in Femman will be the chain’s fourth, with international expansion now expected.   Partyland, which has had a store in Femman since 2018, will move to a roughly 100-square-metre space on the upper floor at the beginning of July.

    In May, popular patisserie brand MR Cake is to open in Femman, Gothenburg’s top retail destination. MR Cake is the brainchild of expert confectioner Roy Fares, who opened his first outlet in Stockholm in 2017.     Four new stores are to open in Femman – Gothenburg’s top retail destination – in December. The four stores include two brands that are moving to larger outlets, and two brands establishing a presence in Femman for the first time.     Hufvudstaden welcomes Cervera and Deichmann

    Sweden’s leading home and kitchen furnishing brand, Cervera, and top shoe retailer Deichmann are set to open new stores in Gothenburg’s Femman shopping centre in the spring of 2023. The two stores will be next door to each other at ground floor level and will have surface areas of 370 and 380 square metres, respectively.Cervera offers products and gifts for the home and kitchen with sales online and through approximately 70 bricks and mortar stores across Sweden.
