Hans Dahlgren, today Executive Director of the Swedish Medical Association, has been appointed Quality and Development Director of Humana and a member of Humana's Group Management. The role includes leading Humana's quality organisation and systematic quality work. Through the appointment, Humana will also increase its focus on quality development through research, data and analysis.

I am very pleased to welcome Hans Dahlgren as new Quality and Development Director at Humana. The systematic quality work is absolutely central in the care we provide. Going forward, in our quality work we will also increase our focus on developing activities such as research, data and analysis, says Johanna Rastad, incoming President and CEO of Humana in December.

Hans Dahlgren succeeds Eva Nilsson Bågenholm, who has been Quality Director and member of the Group management at Humana since 2015 and who has previously announced that she will leave Humana next year. Under her leadership, Humana has built up a Nordic quality organisation that works systematically with quality improvements and continuously measures quality.

– With his solid leadership experience and competence in the care and healthcare sector, Hans will, together with our quality team, take this important work further. The ambition is - in addition to measuring defined process measures - to take steps towards also increasing the added value that Humana's care provides to customers and, in a larger perspective, also to Nordic welfare, says Johanna Rastad.

Hans Dahlgren has been the Executive Director of the Swedish Medical Association for the past seven years and has a total of 20 years' experience of several managerial position in healthcare and care, the Government Offices and the Swedish Riksdag, as well as trade unions and employers' organisations. He has held leading positions within the care sector, he was Business Policy Manager at the Associaton of Private Care Providers, Head of political support in the Riksdag and coordinator at the Ministry of Education. Hans Dahlgren has a Bachelor's degree in political science, economics and business administration from Uppsala University and an MBA in Healthcare and IT from the Stockholm School of Economics.

– It is a real privilege to be part of a quality provider like Humana, which also has the ambition to contribute to setting a new and higher standard for the entire care sector. I am very much looking forward to being a part of the upcoming journey. It is both a fantastic opportunity and a challenge of rank, it will be enormously exciting, says Hans Dahlgren.

Hans Dahlgren will take office in the spring of 2022.
