Recruitment starts for new ICA Bank CEO

ICA Bank’s current CEO Jörgen Wennberg will retire in September 2014. ICA Gruppen is therefore starting a recruitment process to find his successor. Jörgen Wennberg will remain as CEO of ICA Bank and a member of ICA Gruppen’s Executive Management until his retirement.

“Jörgen Wennberg with his sound experience and major commitment to ICA has been crucial to the excellent development of ICA Bank right from the start”, says Per Strömberg, CEO of ICA Gruppen.

Jörgen Wennberg has been CEO of ICA Bank since 2002 and overall has worked at ICA for over 30 years. His 62nd birthday is in 2014 which according to his employment contract entitles him to retire.

ICA Bank currently has some 3.6 million customers in its customer base of whom approximately 600,000 use the banking services. According to the 2013 Swedish Quality Index, ICA Bank has the most satisfied customers in the industry.
