COUNTDOWN TO 48 HOUR SUITCASE SIT-ATHON
Four lucky Lancashire people will battle it out in a two day suitcase sit-athon to win a £2000 getaway!
The Mall Blackburn is giving away a terrific holiday and a suitcase full of sensational seasonal essentials in a sizzling summer competition….with the winner being, quite literally, the last person sitting!
A specially designed beach will be created in The Mall’s Victoria Court as the setting for the unique event, which will act as a reminder to contestants of what they could win when morale is in short supply!
Running in conjunction with Rock FM and hosted in The Mall by former Big Brother 9 housemate Luke Marsden, the competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over who is willing to go that extra mile in order to win a dream holiday.
Entry is free and competitors must visit www.rockfm.co.uk/suitcase and answer the question ‘what would be the first thing you would take with you on holiday?’. Four finalists will be selected and must take their place on their suitcase by 3.00pm on Friday 20th July.
Anyone who loses direct physical contact with their suitcase or falls asleep during the gruelling 48 hours will be disqualified.
Throughout the competition Luke will add a whole host of holiday essentials to another suitcase, in the event of a tie at the end of the two days, finalists must verbally list the items in order. The person who does this in the fastest time will be crowned the winner.
Loraine Jones, General Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “We haven’t had much of a summer so far here in Lancashire and we wanted to give our shoppers the chance to win a bit of sunshine!
“Going Places, here in The Mall, and lots of other retailers are getting involved by contributing to the big prize.
“Rock FM is running the competition on its website and we can’t wait to see who our finalists are.”
