Global paint manufacturer Jotun accelerates growth with IFS Applications 9
IFS end-to-end solution to empower 3200 new users world-wide to drive global expansion through enhanced efficiency and transparency
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that world-leading paint manufacturer Jotun has decided to expand its IFS Applications™ suite to support its continued growth and provide decision-makers and users with enhanced capabilities. The agreement includes licenses valued at NKr 17.7 million.
With 37 production facilities on all continents and a presence in over 100 countries, Norway-based Jotun is one of the world’s foremost suppliers of paints and coatings. The company has over many years experienced strong growth through its global presence and by constantly entering into new markets. The company opened a new factory in Brazil last year and are in the process of building factories in Oman, the Philippines and Myanmar.
Jotun has been using IFS Applications since 2005 to support mission-critical processes such as manufacturing, financials, procurement, and supply chain management. To drive additional efficiencies and enhance transparency across its multi-national organization, the company will implement IFS Applications 9.
The new platform will be rolled out across 200+ sites world-wide, supporting major aspects of the business, including strategic purchasing, warehouse barcode scanning, mobile work order management, and smartphone apps. The IFS solution also includes a training tool designed to help Jotun’s staff get up and running on the new platform.
“Having worked with IFS for many years, we are convinced that IFS Applications 9 is the right platform to power our global expansion,” Jotun CEO Morten Fon said. “By investing in additional features we will be able to empower our large and global workforce with modern and intuitive tools that can drive profitability.”
“We are pleased to see global top-tier enterprises like Jotun leveraging IFS’s products and services, and this deal is testament to the expertise IFS has in the vertical industries where we focus—process manufacturing in this case,” IFS Scandinavia CEO Glenn Arnesen said. “This agreement offers further proof of IFS’s good traction among global businesses with multi-site operations and large workforces that are looking to enhance efficiency and accelerate growth.”
