IFS chosen to unify Enics’ global high-tech manufacturing operations
Comprehensive IFS ERP cloud platform to improve the workday of 3,300+ Enics staff in seven countries
London, August 26, 2020 – IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that Enics, one of the world’s largest electronics manufacturing services (EMS) providers to the industrial electronics segment, will deploy IFS Applications™ in the cloud to support mission-critical business processes across its sites in Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Slovakia, Switzerland, China, and Malaysia.
The enterprise resource planning (ERP) software will provide enhanced support for shop-floor planning, scheduling, and execution as well as extended capabilities for customer collaboration and new product introduction (NPI). It replaces legacy business software, which comprised eight stand-alone installations across the organization and supports Enics’ thriving business and growing geographical footprint.
Headquartered in Switzerland, Enics is the partner of choice for professional electronics in the fields of energy, industrial automation, transportation, building automation, and instrumentation. Based on its proven track record in the EMS manufacturing space and functional breadth, IFS was chosen over competing vendors, including Infor.
“The IFS team of industry and product experts was able to prove superior business value across key areas such as manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and quality management,” said Enics CEO Elke Eckstein. “Another deciding factor was ensuring an intuitive and enjoyable user experience for our people, which the Aurena interface really delivers. With IFS as our technology partner, we will integrate all corners of the business to deliver added value to our customers.”
Elni Kullmer, Managing Director, IFS Nordics, added, “We are proud to announce this milestone deal with one of the leading lights in the global high-tech manufacturing sector. Enics’ complex, global value chain is a perfect match for our technology and expertise and we look forward to delivering a comprehensive ERP platform to harmonize business processes, increase data accuracy, and enhance efficiency.”
