Increase in IFS customers deploying solutions in the cloud
IFS extends IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure offering to include IFS Field Service Management™
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, is seeing strong growth in the number of deployments of its extended ERP suite IFS Applications™ and its enterprise service management (ESM) solution on the Microsoft Azure cloud.
Part of IFS’s broad cloud offering that was launched in May 2015, IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure is a fully managed, security-enhanced, single-tenant cloud solution. A few of the customers that are currently leveraging IFS cloud solutions include:
- Aludium, a European producer of aluminum products. Aludium was one of the first IFS customers to deploy a comprehensive ERP solution on IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure, which is being used to support Aludium’s state-of-the-art manufacturing and international supply chain. IFS Applications 9 will be deployed at the company’s multiple sites across Europe.
- Jacopa, the UK wastewater technology and services expert, recently implemented IFS Applications 9 with IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure in just four months using the services of Anthesis, a member of the IFS Partner Network. Following its spin-off from parent company Ovivo, the platform will help maximize business development at four UK sites with real-time information access across key processes including purchasing, manufacturing, and support.
- Texas-based Sunbelt Transformer Ltd. specializes in sales and rentals of new and reconditioned transformers through a network of service locations across the U.S. The company chose IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure to benefit from rapid deployments as well as reduced complexity, risk, and cost.
“It is exciting to see how well our cloud offering has been received by new and existing customers,” said IFS Chief Marketing Officer, Mark Boulton. “When customers choose IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure, they sign one contract for one seamlessly integrated service. By having IFS manage the technical environment, companies can leverage IFS’s expertise and the economics of the cloud without needing to retain costly skills and infrastructure. It really is a very compelling proposition that makes an IFS solution even easier to buy, deploy, and own.”
“We are happy to see an increasing number of IFS customers turning to Microsoft Azure to utilize the power of the cloud,” Nicole Herskowitz, senior director of product marketing, Microsoft Azure. “The IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure combines the comprehensive capabilities of IFS Applications with the secure, globally available, and scalable Microsoft Azure cloud to offer a flexible business solution that can quickly adapt to changing business needs.”
As announced at the IFS World Conference in May this year, IFS Field Service Management (FSM) is now available as a managed cloud solution requiring minimal customer IT support. IFS FSM, part of the IFS Enterprise Service Management suite, provides powerful service optimization software to leading companies in a wide range of industries. The solution automates all aspects of the service management value chain, including mobile field service, service contract and warranty management, customer support, scheduling, dispatch, spare parts, repair, and reverse logistics.
